THIS POST IS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH PUEEN COSMETICS.
It is my firmly held opinion that you just can't go wrong at Halloween with some really classic spiderwebs nails. I mean, honestly, they just get the job done. So for today's mani, I decided to pair some really heavy classic spiderweb stamping with an orange base polish for what I think is just the quintessential Halloween mani.

When I was choosing the orange base polish for this mani, I decided I wanted to go with something with a bit of texture and visual interest to the finish so I grabbed for this polish from Pampered Polishes that features various sizes of glitters and flakes in a really squishy jelly base that gives a beautiful pond effect to the nails.
I applied three thin coats of my base polish to all of my nails and let that dry down completely before moving onto the stamping.
As I said, I just really wanted to keep this mani simple, straightforward, and classic so I used the full cover spiderweb image from the Pueen Nail Party 03 Stamping Plate. This is a great spiderweb image with quite heavy lines and a really strong look. I applied this image to all of my nails, alternating the direction of application in order to add a little bit of added visual interest by keeping the nails from all looking exactly the same.
Once I was happy with my design, I sealed it in with a nail art top coat and then finished with a generous layer of glossy top coat for shine and volume. And voila!

As I said, I really don't think you can go wrong with a classic - and this is definitely a classic. I also think that pairing this really strong stamping image with this bright, slightly speckled base polish really does give a lot of bang for a pretty simple buck. If you haven't picked up the Pueen Nail Party 03 Stamping Plate* yet, I highly recommend it. It has some really great images, including this one!
