NAIL ART: Spidery Abstract Nail Stamping ft. KBShimmer License To Chill

In case it wasn't super, super obvious, I'm having a distinct moment with sheer polish recently. I don't know it is, but ever since this past holiday season I've just really been drawn to sheer bases for nail art. This is pretty new for me since I've always been more of a fully opaque base kind of girl, but I guess there's all kinds of seasons. For today's nail art, I used one of my favorite milky bases along with a new-to-me stamping plate that I picked up recently from Aliexpress.

For this mani, I started with two coats of KBShimmer License To Chill as my base. This polish is a milky white crelly base with a significant amount of irridescent flakies in it and it can be a little bit thick to work with, but the final product is so very much worth it. I feel like the flakies in the formula help to act sort of as camouflage so that the nail line and any flaws in your nail bed aren't as easily noticable.

I recently picked up a whole bunch of Pict You stamping plates from Aliexpress and I've been really solidly impressed with the quality of the etching on these plates - the pickup has been really solid with every one I've used. I decided to grab for this smaller plate for this mani and create this sort of abstract mani with the look of spider gel. Using a black stamping polish, I started with the spidery images, alternating between two and also changing the direction that I stamped in to keep each nail looking unique. Next, I went in with a rich berry stamping polish and added splatter images to two of my nails as well as these sort of branchy images to two nails. Ultimately I wanted there to be a lightness to all of the stamping so I really kept it simple.

Once I was happy with my stamping, I sealed it all in with water based top coat and then finished with a quick dry glossy top coat and voila!
