SPOILERS: IPSY September 2014

by - September 04, 2014

First off... I've been MIA for almost a week now and my only excuse is... Well, I actually have lots of excuses. I had two back to back weddings followed by my birthday, which was well celebrated, and then a day of couching to recover from the aforementioned birthday. AND NOW I'M BACK. WITH IPSY SPOILERS.

Like last month, Ipsy is giving people to see their Glam Room early. I'm hopeful that this will also mean that shipping is going to happen early and I'm going to receive my bag quickly. Last month it arrived even before the tracking number was sent to me. This, my friends, is a huge plus for Ipsy in my books. Here's hoping Julep gets on that train, since I didn't opt out this month and used up points for add ons I'm really looking forward to it. But this is not about Julep, it's about IPSY.

Keep reading to see what I will be receiving as well as the rest of the products being included in bags this month....

1. Crown Brush Infinity Shadow/Crease Duet Brush
2. Pacifica Natural Water Proof Eye Pencil
3. Cailyn Art Touch Tinted Lip Gloss
4. Mitchell and Peach Luxury Hand Cream
5. Nourish Organic Moisturizing Cream Face Cleanser

Overall... Okay, I'm not really sure how I feel about this month's bag. The optimistic part of me is kinda like... "I like hand cream! I like brushes! Face cleanser is good!" But then the not as optimistic part of me is kinda just... Not blown away by this bag at all. The last Pacifica product that I received was kind of crappy and I hated the "lip balm" from Cailyn. I will say, though, that I am glad I'm finally getting one of the brushes because every time they're included in the spoilers they're on my wishlist and I never get them. Stompwhinewhimper. Yes, I am definitely being a whiner... which is probably some combination of apathy about this bag and bummerness about being back to work. I digress.

Let's take a look at what else is included this month....

1. Alterna Hair Care CC Cream 10-in-1 Complete Correction (Want)
2. Hikari Lipstick
3. NYX Hot Singles Eye Shadow
4. Avon Big&Daring Volume Mascara
5. Be A Bombshell Smooth Criminal Powder
6. Beauty Without Cruelty Sweet Lavendar Hand & Body Lotion (Glad I didn't get this.)
7. Briogeo Don't Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Mask (Want)
8. Harvé Benard Precious Gold For Her
9. Harvey Prince Hello Fragrance
10. LeeAnni Eco 3-in-1 Revolution Light
11. Maybelline Master Glaze Blush Stick in "Make A Mauve" (I think I saw this at Winners...)
12. Pacifica 7 Free Nail Polish (Would have preferred to the eyeliner)
13. Sally Hansen Miracle Gel (Want)

So there you have it... There actually are some really good products this month and I would have been able to put together a pretty amazing bag if I'd had the chance to choose from the products individually... Wouldn't that be an amazing month if Ipsy let you do that? I mean, it would suck for the people who got there last and got stuck with the stuff that no one wants, but I feel like there would actually be a wide selection of different choices from people since there's always such diverse reactions to different products.

Anyway, there you have it.

If you have yet to sign up for Ipsy, CLICK HERE to head over to the site and join the waitlist. From what I understand, it doesn't take too long to get off the list and I sincerely think it's worth the money every month even if you don't love all of the products. It's under $20 a month for Canadians ($10 a month if you're in the US) and you receive a unique makeup bag every month filled with 5 new beauty products to try out. Usually the sizes are deluxe sample size, but sometimes you get really lucky and get a couple of full size products in the mix. Either way, it's always a good value and an exciting package to get in the mail.

Check back soon for my monthly unboxing and mini reviews of the products I'll be receiving!

    1. That's exactly how I feel. There's just nothing the least bit exciting at all.
