You guys know that I love a subscription service. I've mentioned quite a few here on the blog, but I'm always interested in trying out new ones. I swear, if it was in the budget, I'd be subscribed to so many it would be ridiculous. Anyway, recently I got the opportunity to try out the Canadian watch subscription service called Monthly Watch Club*, which I was super excited about because I love finding Canadian subscription services.

I keep saying that I'm going to cancel my Julep subscription, but for some reason I just skip most months rather than actually cancelling. Can you blame me? Anyway, this month was kind of the perfect storm. One of my favorite all time products is from Julep and I was running out, so it was time to pick up another one, I had some points to spend to get some bonus items, and Winter Is Coming so keeping my hands and cuticles hydrated is topping my list right now. So, really, what I'm trying to say... is that I just couldn't resist!

So... After literally months and months of feeling like I was going to cancel my ipsy subscription, I finally went ahead and did it. I actually really, really loved getting ipsy bags - which you'll know if you've been a longtime reader of the blog - but it was time and I'll happily give my spot to a new subscriber who'll be excited about the bag like I was in the beginning. I blew out the points I had been accumulating and picked up a couple of bonus items and overall I'm really happy with my last bag.

So, if you want to see what I got in my last ipsy bag, keep reading!

Is anyone else feeling some serious summer laziness at the moment? I AM! Honestly, I just want to sprawl out in a zero gravity chair on my patio with a cider and read pretty much all the time. The warm weather is making me distinctly slothy. This is clearly my apology for the possibility that content will slow down over the coming weeks. ANYWAY, it's time for another Ipsy Subscription post - which I suspect will be my second to last one - for July's bag!

As you can see, I'm still hanging on with Ipsy... I feel like my unbagging posts have become a running commentary on how I feel about the service and I'm not sure how you guys feel about that, but I don't want to ramble on too much about it in this one. I'm still subscribed for the moment - which I'm chalking up to wanting to redeem some of my Ipsy points before I unsubscribe. I still definitely recommend the service for people who are interested, because it's a great way to try out a bunch of new products each month, oftentimes ones that aren't easily available locally or are from smaller, less buzzed brands.

It's that time again! As you guys know if you read these posts, I've been seriously considering cancelling my Ipsy subscription for a while, but I just can't seem to quit it. Yesterday, when this bag arrived, someone who had just gotten her first bag ever saw the pink envelope on my desk and was so excited to see what I'd gotten and just generally really excited about Ipsy. It really reminded me of how I felt getting Ipsy in the past - and kind of cemented that I'm going to be done with my subscription sooner than later. Anyway, if there are any subscription services available here in Canada that you might like to see me try, please do let me know!

Anyway, let's get on to what I got this month!

The thing that I'm finding about Ipsy is that as soon as I think I'm going to end my subscription, I get a couple of bags that I really, really love - and that's exactly what happened this month. The theme for April's bag is Side Show, which I think is a pretty interesting theme, but one that could pretty much contain just about anything, and I think that the selection of products in my bag is just about bang on for both my tastes and what I'm looking for in these types of bags. Intrigued?

Admittedly, I've never been one to wait when it comes to spoilers, so I knew what I would be getting in this month's Ipsy bag and I was pretty excited for it to arrive. The actual bag this month is really, really nice. It's a fold over bag with a rosy pale pink faux suede one one side and a textured sort of waffle pattern on the other with a rose gold zipper and pull. I think this actually might be one of my favorite bags that I've ever gotten from Ipsy. I also grabbed a points reward this month, which is always an exciting thing!

Sooo... I'm thinking about quitting Ipsy. Honestly, I'm coming up on my three year anniversary of blogging here at Prairie Beauty Love and I've been getting Ipsy significantly longer than that and a lot of the shine has worn off by now. Don't get me wrong, I still love getting a grab bag of products every month to try out and I've loved being a subscriber, but it's started to feel not very worth it anymore. I think what's going to happen is that I'm going to spend my points and then call it a day with Ipsy, so this will likely be one of my last Ipsy posts!

So, I skipped Ipsy spoilers this month and I think I might continue with that trend. I don't think Ipsy is quite as exciting as it used to be - and most people who want to see what's in the bags just go and look at their glam room. Am I right? Anyway, if you want me to continue with Ipsy spoilers, feel free to let me know in the comments, but I think that for the time being I'll just be doing my month unbaggings and leave room for other content. ANYWAY, this month's theme is Ipsy Metropolis, which I think at the very least has resulted in a very, very cool makeup bag this month!

Considering that I've been posting Ipsy unbaggings for almost 3 years now, I'm really running out of ways to open these posts and I think it's showing. ANYWAY! This month's Ipsy Glambag theme is Carpe P.M. which is pretty cute, if you ask me. I feel like Ipsy tends to stick to New Years themes in December rather than Christmas or other holidays, which I kind of like because it doesn't exclude anyone and it fits really well to makeup, don't you think? This month's makeup bag is... not my favorite, but I think it's pretty on theme. It's actually a little wristlet, which is super cute, and has a really pretty gold metal Ipsy detail on the front. but I kind of can't with the magenta horsehairesque fabric. I'm sure other people will like it, but it's just not for me.

It's Ipsy Spoilers time again! I meant to do this last week... I really did. But I was only reminded this morning when I realized the date and figured out that Glam Rooms would be live, but I figured I'd still put together the post and list all of the available products in this month's bags!

Hey guys! Welcome to my monthly Ipsy unboxing! This month's Ipsy theme was Rockstarlet, which I actually think is a pretty good theme and pretty fitting for November, which I think is the kind of month that's perfect for more rocker type makeup looks. I don't know what it is, but I love edgy makeup as the weather gets colder. Am I alone in this?

Anyway, I'm not going to get rambly with this one, so keep reading for a look at what I got this month!

If you're a longtime reader of the blog, you may recall several months ago I did a review of the RawSpiceBar subscription service and I was really impressed with it. The basic premise of RawSpiceBar is that each month the curate a selection of 3 unique spice blends in a specific theme and includes recipes for each spice blend so that you can try out new recipes each month. Pretty cool, right? I got the chance to try another RawSpiceBar box and I was really excited to give it a go. To check out the RawSpiceBar Beunos Aires Spice Box*, keep reading!

The beginning of the month is always exciting in the subscription service world and, as always, my favorite is spoilers of what's going to be included in this month's Ipsy bag. This month's theme is Rockstarlet and I had visions of bold red lips, sharp winged liner, and smoky, smoky eyes dancing through my head. I think there's actually a solid number of products that are completely on theme this month - which is always exciting - and the bag itself is really cute!

This month is going to be a little different, as I won't be going based on the Instagram spoilers but on full product spoilers that are floating around the internet. So if you want to see every product that's going to be included in this month's Ipsy bags, keep reading! And if you don't wanna know... back away slowly!

It's always a good day when my Ipsy bag arrives, I must say! Honestly, I think I must be really easy to please these days, because even if the bag doesn't blow my mind I'm always more than happy to stay with the subscription and see what's coming next month. I don't even know how long I've been an Ipsy subscriber by now, but I just keep going strong like so many other people. ANYWAY, this month's theme is Black Magic, because Halloween is basically crack for the beauty obsessed (myself included). The bag is ADORABLE with art by Valfré all over it and a super cute ghost shaped zipper pull. But what about the contents, you ask?

It's been a long time since I've gotten a Julep Maven box, I admit. I've been skipping almost every month because I just can't justify the expense and I'm just not as into nails as I was when I originally signed up. Because of this, I decided I was going to cancel my subscription after just one more box. I mean, I had Jules to spend and it seemed silly not to go out with a box, right? Also, there were a couple of things that I'd been wanting to try as well as one product that is a long time favorite of mine that I wanted another bottle of before I left Julep for keeps.

I have to tell you guys... I went back and looked at what I got in my October Ipsy Bag last year and I feel like I can really see the huge improvement that Ipsy has made not only in the products that they're offering every month, but in their overall presentation. I love the theme photoshoots that always seem to be getting more intricate and interesting, as well as the look of the bags. I feel like I can really see a difference in just the products that have been spoiled so far versus what I got last year at this time.

As I'm doing now, I'm going to be adding spoilers to this post as they're released, so check back to find out what else has been added! Keep reading to see what has been spoiled so far - there's some great products this month!

Welcome back to another post where I show you what I got in this month's Ipsy Glambag. Honestly, I've gotta say that I feel like Ipsy has been stepping things up in the past several months. Not only am I seeing a good mixture of well known brands with less recognizable ones, but I think the curation is improving - aside from all the black eyeliners and the base products that are too dark for me... but since that's not a problem in this month's bag, I'm choosing to be optimistic about that. Just me? Probably. Anyway. There's also been an improvement in their rewards system in that there have been some really great rewards offered recently and I definitely find that I'm earning points more quickly than I once did. Overall, while I've thought about canceling Ipsy in the past, I'm really happy with the service lately so these posts will continue.

Spoilers time again! Because the beginning of this month falls on the long weekend, I didn't want to wait for full spoilers so I figured I'd just do this post and update it as new spoilers come out! If you're interested in seeing what's going to be included in this month's bags (hopefully no black eyeliner pencils!) just keep checking back because I'll add them as I see 'em!

Keep reading to see what we've got so far!
