GET TO KNOW ME.
So, when I saw this on Natalie Loves Beauty, I knew that I had to do it too. I love reading these kinds of posts from people, but I've also always loved filling them out. I have really vivid memories of printing them off email when I was in high school and filling them out with all of my girlfriends. Not gonna lie, I kind of wish I still had my answers from back then lying around because I'd like to see some tangible evidence of how much I've changed since then. Anyway, without further adieu, here is a little Get To Know Me survey... You know, in case you wanna know a little more about me.
1. What is your middle name? Deanne.
2. Share you favorite subject in high school. I loved my World Issues class in grade 12. Had the best teacher ever and the content was amazing.
3. What is your favorite drink? Dear Coffee, I just can't quit you.
4. What is your favorite song at the moment? I have a weird aversion to naming favorite songs, movies, and books. I literally can't make myself, even if it's just of the moment.
5. What would you (or have you) name your children? I love the name Ayla for a girl, I know that... What I don't know is whether I ever plan to have children.
6. Have you participated in any sports? I was a really active skier for most of my life, that was definitely my sport, but I stopped a few years ago. I need to get back into it.
7. What is your favorite book? Again, nope. Can't do it. Although I'm rereading The Secret by Julie Garwood for about the 4th time at the moment - it's definitely in the top 10 list.
8. What is your favorite color? Probably green. But also... Black.
9. What is your favorite animal? Sea turtles. I have an absolute obsession.
10. What is your favorite perfume? Lately, I've been sticking pretty exclusively to Red Musk from The Body Shop, but I also love Prada Candy and Hanai Mori Butterfly.
11. What is your favorite holiday? Christmas.
12. On a scale from 1 – 10, rate your childhood. 6. I'd say my childhood was firmly and enduringly average.
13. Have you been out of the country? Yes, but not as much as I'd like to.
14. Do you speak any different languages? Sometimes I randomly throw French words into my English speak, but that's about the extent of my linguistic accomplishments.
15. Do you have any siblings? Yes, two younger brothers.
16. What is your favorite store? Ummm. Probably Sephora. But I also have this thing where I like to go and walk around Walmart at around 10pm if I'm feeling anxious or stressed. I don't know what it is about Walmart in the late evening, but it calms me.
17. What is your favorite restaurant? There's this little hole in the wall Vietnamese place here in Winnipeg that I love called Thanh Vi, that's probably my favorite place to eat.
18. Did you like school? I did, yeah. And I wish I had spent more time as a student.
19. Who are some of your favorite YouTubers? Tati, Pixiwoo, Sharon Farrell, Caroline Hirons, Lisa Eldridge, Grace Helbig, Miranda Sings (even though I don't know why, but I laugh my ass off every time I see her videos), and Hannah Hart. Lately, I've also been watching Young Wild and Polished and her bloopers are everything. I watch way too much Youtube....
20. What is your favorite movie? Nope. I won't do it. However, I rewatched Grease 2 on the weekend and I would say that's my favorite insanely cheesy 80s musical. So there's that.
21. What are some of your favorite TV shows? DOCTOR WHO. Ahem. But yeah, I've spent an absurd amount of time preaching to people why Doctor Who is amazing. Also, lately I've been loving Vikings. And Outlander, which needs to be back in my life RIGHT NOW.
22. PC or Mac? I have a PC... but I would like to be a MAC girl.
23. What phone do you have? iPhone 5C and even though the screen is cracked because I dropped it on the patio last summer, I don't want to change because I don't want a bigger phone.
24. How tall are you? 5'8"
25. Do you have any pets? Yes, my dog Lucy is pretty much my child. For evidence, see my Instagram.
