HAUL: Makeup Revolution

by - March 25, 2015

I've been hearing about Makeup Revolution for months online, but I hadn't put in an order because the standard international shipping cost dissuaded me. However, they recently offered £5 (which translated to just short of $10CAD) off your order, so I figured it was time to put in my first order to the company I'd heard so much about. It was timely, since they had just released some new palettes that looked absolutely amazing. It took just under 2 weeks for them to get to me and I did a little happy dance when I found them in the mail today!

Look for reviews of each of the products that I received to be posted here on the blog sometime in the next month. For now, let's just take a look at what I got!

Makeup Revolution The One Fluid Blusher in Pink Sea
"Blush Fanatics Rejoice! Affordable Blush Perfection is here, with our The One Fluid Blush.
The most amazing feel and finish - and BUDGE-PROOF and WATER-RESISTANT, bringing INSTANT RADIANCE & ILLUMINATION to your skin.

Using Our Silicone based, Oil free Technology, this unique Fluid-technology will suit all skin types and avoids blocking pores. Blends Easily and You can Keep Building to suit your desired look."

Isn't this the cutest thing? This isn't a new product for Makeup Revolution, but it's one I've definitely been curious about for a while. I chose this shade after seeing some swatches, because I feel like it'll look really natural on my skintone. This blusher comes in 5 shades with, it seems, something for every skin tone. They retail for £3.00 ($5.69CAD).

Makeup Revolution Focus & Fix Brow Kit in Medium
"The ultimate must have brow kit containing 3 brow powders and a wax cream. The shades are all very blendable to match your eyebrow colour easily, and the applicator included is all you need for a perfect brow."

I love brow kits, I really do, and at £2.50 ($4.74 CAD), I figured this one was definitely worth a try. Even though I have dark hair, I never buy dark eyebrow products because they always seem to look like black caterpillars on my head. Unfortunately, these powders are looking very, very warm in the pan, but I'll have to see how they look in my browns. Worst case, they could always be shadows, right?

I ♥ Makeup Death By Chocolate Palette
"Chocolate shades…that go to the dark side too!
By day more natural…by night hit the dark side!
Mixture of mattes and shimmers. ♡"

So, let's not beat around the bush. Makeup Revolution is absolutely known for duping popular, higher end brands and this is one of their most obvious dupes. We all know what it's duping, don't we? Anyway, I've wanted the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette for a while, but I can't justify buying every high end palette that there is. However, at £7.99 ($15.15CAD), I can definitely justify trying a dupe on for size. We'll see how it holds up, shall we?

Makeup Revotion Icon Pro 1 Palette

Makeup Revolution Iconic Pro 2 Palette

These are the palettes that convinced me to order. Again, we're talking about dupes for some of the most popular and well loved palettes out there, which boast a new "super-elite" formulation. I actually was convinced to give these a go by a Youtuber that I love whose first impression of the Iconic Pro 1 was incredibly positive. I had wanted the Lorac Pro Palette for ages, but it's really hard to get in Canada these days and again... I can't justify buying all of the palettes all of the time. Anyway, I couldn't choose between the two, so I just got both. Again, they were £6.99 ($13.25CAD)... which is a damn steal. Hopefully the quality is good!

Makeup Revolution Ultra Blush And Contour Palette in Sugar & Spice
"Our ULTRA Blush palette is perfect for the professional application desired by all of us. Perfect for highlighting too.
Professional and highly pigmented, yet easy to blend, these contain 8 shades consisting of shimmer and matte blushers, merged baked blusher, and merged baked highlighter powder. The ULTIMATE blush palette offering you 8 shades in 1 to suit any occasion!"

I've been a little bit obsessed with blush lately, so I couldn't help myself when I saw this blush palette with a price tag of  £6.00 ($11.38CAD). This palette has 6 matte shades and 6 glowy shades in a selection shades ranging from very natural to very vibrant. I can't wait to get this on my cheeks, if we're being honest. Just. So. Pretty!

I'm really excited about this haul, I have to say, and I can't wait to start putting these products to use so that I can get some good reviews out for you guys. I also have another small order of lip products coming to me from an order I placed with a friend, so look out for reviews of those once they arrive as well!

Have you tried Makeup Revolution? Any favorite products from the brand that I need to try? Also, is there any particular review you guys would like to see first?
