HAUL: Final Sonia Kashuk Haul @ Target Canada

by - April 09, 2015

I had to do it, you guys. I was driving by one of the last 2 Targets left in Winnipeg and I saw signs saying that it was their final day, so I had to pop in and see what they had left of Sonia Kashuk (since that's what they have seemed to have in abundance since this whole liquidation process started!) Turns out they had some really great Sonia Kashuk stuff marked down to 80% off for their final hours of the store being open... and they had little else left there. Most of the store had been roped off, leaving only the portion in front of the cash registers open for the small amount of stock they had left. I'm sincerely bummed that there will be no more Target in my life... But alas. I picked up a whackload of stuff for almost no money and I figured I'd share it with you!

Keep reading for the haul as well as my first impressions of the products!

Sonia Kashuk Eye On Neutral Shimmer Palette -
Regular Price $19.99 on Liquidation for $3.99

If you still have Target stores open near you, it's worth a pop in to see if there are any of these hanging out in the bins. Last week they had none of these at my Target, but yesterday they had a whole bin full. I had actually been wanting to pick this up for a while, but had enough neutral palettes in my life that I didn't see the need... You know, until it was $4. Probably should have grabbed 2. Anyway, the quality on all of these shadows is top notch when swatched and I can't wait to get them on my eyes!

Sonia Kashuk Eyeshadow Quads in 44 Fair And Square and 16 Shimmering Sands
Regular Price $13.69 on Liquidation for $2.74

These had been there for my last few shopping trips but I hadn't picked them up because I find the quality of the shadows in the regular quads (as opposed to the monochromatic quads which I've had nothing but good luck with) to be a little bit hit and miss. Both of these are definitely the same way. The shimmer shades are really soft and pigmented, but can be a little bit crumbly with fall out, and the matte or matteshimmer shades are pretty chalky and not as pigmented as I would like. Each quad has a straight up glitter shade in the upper right corner that is actually pretty cool, though not really my personal style. Don't expect pigmentation with those though, they're pretty much straight glitter.

Sonia Kashuk Brow Gel - Clear
Regular Price $5.99 on Liquidation for $1.19

So, I have the Sonia Kashuk tinted brow gel and I'm not the hugest fan of it, but I decided to pick this up anyway because I feel like I've heard some good things and I don't actually currently have a clear brow gel in my collection since they tend to get gross pretty quickly and I always end up throwing them up. I figured this was worth a try at just over a buck to buy, so I grabbed it. I did put it in my brows and I think it does a pretty decent job of giving the hairs some definition and keeping them in place. Clear brow gel is about the least exciting thing ever, isn't it?

Sonia Kashuk Brow Kit in 12 Arch Alert
Regular Price $9.99 on Liquidation for $1.99

For some reason, I thought I was getting brow powders when I bought this, but it's actually cream products in each pan. I don't mind and I'm interested to try it out and see how I like it. I actually quite like using tinted wax in my brows because it gives definition and hold, so we'll see if I like this as much. I did try it out and I found it fairly easy to use and loved the fact that I can mix shades to get the right tone to match my actual brows, but I'm finding that it might be fading a little faster than I might like. We'll see!

Sonia Kashuk Primer Baser Perfecting Mattifying Primer
Regular Price $14.99 on Liquidation for $2.99

So... I don't even know why I bought this, because mattifying primers aren't usually my thing since they always seem to dry me out. Chalk it up to me wanting to try new things and being unable to resist the pull of 80% off. That works, right? Amazingly enough, I used this today and it feels quite good on my skin and gave a really nice, smooth base for my makeup. I'm incredibly impressed with how well this worked... I guess we'll have to see how my skin feels at the end of the day, but I'm optimistic!

So there you have it... My last Target Canada haul ever. I feel like I went a little mental with Target Liquidation as it's been going on, but I feel like I'm a part of a pretty big group that did that so it's hard to beat myself up for it. I'll miss having Target nearby to pop into for limited edition Sonia Collections and adorable socks, but I guess this just means I'll have to venture south of the border more often!

Did you pick up any great finds during the Target liquidation? I'd love to hear about them!
