REVIEW: Naked Skincare & Apothecary Body Polish - Lavender + Lime

by - May 04, 2017

There's a new body scrub favorite in my bathroom these days, and I'm super excited to share it with you guys! Winnipeg based Naked Skincare & Apothecary is a fantastic brand with a wide range of skin and body care products hand made using all natural, high quality ingredients and I've really enjoyed what I've tried from them so far. In the past, I've been a big fan of their Coffee Body Scrub, but recently I decided I really wanted to try out their Body Polish Lavender & Lime. I mean... Of course, I did, right?

About:
Exquisite blend of oils and butters to nourish & smooth the skin with exfoliating mineral-rich salt and fine sugar crystals. Breath in the relaxing scent of lavender and the sweetness of lime.

Obviously, we're going straight to how this smells. For a long time, I wasn't a huge fan of lavender, but recently I've done a complete 180 on that and am a little bit in love with it. This scrub contains actual lavender in it, as well as lavender essential oil, but the addition of the lime essential oil does something to the lavender scent that brightens it up while still maintaining that soothing feeling. I'm finding more and more than bath and body products that combine those two elements of relaxation and brightness are right up my alley these days.

When it comes to scrubbing, this strikes a perfect balance. It's got enough grit to really get in there and scrub even when my feet are really rough and need a good scrubbing, but not so abrasive that it's uncomfortable. Also, the oils in it really hydrate and nourish the skin leaving it feels really silky after you get out of the tub or shower. Overall, this product has knocked it out of the park for me and I highly, highly recommend checking it out. If Lavender + Lime isn't your thing, the Body Polish is also available in Green Tea + Jasmine and Sweet Orange + Grapefruit!

Naked Skincare Apothecary products are available on their website - and are also stocked in some local stores here in Winnipeg! Seriously, check them out!
