MANI MONDAY: Reverse Stamped Spring Flowers

by - May 06, 2019

Happy Monday, everyone! I'm starting to feel a little bit better (this cold has been the worst of my adult life by a huge margin) so I'm hoping to be blogging a lot more this week. For the beginning of May, we decided on a #CBBxManiMonday theme of Floral Nails and I was super, super excited. I've actually had quite a few floral nail art ideas floating around in my head for several weeks now, so I've been pretty eager to get into the theme.

The base of this mani was inspired by some nail art that I've really loved on Instagram, specifically from @iv_juli, with the two middle nails sort of matching and then different colours on the first and pinkie nails. I started with with my favorite green, OPI This Isn't Greenland, on the first finger, Essie Who Is The Boss on the middle two, and Zoya Rocky on the pinkie.

For the stamping, I really wanted to do reverse stamping because I think it's always so beautiful with floral designs. I chose this image from the BornPrettyStore BPL-067 Stamping Plate because I knew I would really like how it would use the space on my nails. I used my NailStuff.ca Clear Stamper* along with Maniology Straight Up Black Stamping Polish to pick up the image. To fill it the image, I used my NailStuff Mermaid Tail Nail Art Brush and chose Maniology Bam White Stamping Polish for the flowers and OPI This Isn't Greenland for the leaves. To transfer the image, I just waited until my second coat of base polish was a little bit tacky and it transferred really, really beautifully.

I finished with a coat of Sinful Colors Matte Top Coat (which miraculously doesn't smear my stamping as long as I don't get too vigorous in application) and voila!
