12 NAILS OF CHRISTMAS: Swirling Twinkle Lights Nail Art

by - December 09, 2019

Happy Monday, everyone! For Day 4 of 12 Nails Of Christmas, I really, really wanted to put together some twinkle lights nails because I always love the look and I feel like you can really get creative and customize them exactly how you want them. While in real life, I'm a boring white lights kind of a girl, on my nails I really wanted to bring some neon boldness to them to give some real impact. I paired reverse stamping with a stunning holo base and I'm really, really in love with them.

Keep reading for more!

For this look, I started out by actually doing the reverse stamping on 4 different stampers at the same time. Using the Nicole Diary L13 Stamping Plate and Born Pretty Store Black Stamping Polish, I picked up the image on all of the stampers and then used my NailStuff.ca Fine Detail Nail Art Brush* to fill in the lights with Color Club Seas The Day, Color Club Peace Out Purple, and Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Glow With It. Once they were filled in, I set them aside to dry.

While the stamping was drying, I applied two coats of Glam Polish Florals? For Spring. Groundbreaking. to all of my nails. Once that was dry, I applied a thin coat of my Chen Xi Star Glue to get good adherence on the transfer of the stamping. I tried to place the images on the nails so that it looked like the string lights were connecting across my nails just by angling and turning the image as needed.

Once everything was transferred,  I applied a generous coat of Seche Vive Quick Dry Top Coat and voila!

What's really driving home for me this year is that festive holiday nail art really doesn't have to live in the red and green zone and I feel like this look really drives that home. It turned out exactly how I wanted it to.

Remember, check back every couple of days leading up to Christmas to check out the rest of my 12 Nails Of Christmas. Also, be sure to check out Cosmetic Proof, See The World In PINK, and Tea & Nail Polish today for more holiday themed nail art for this week's #CBBxManiMonday!
