REVIEW: Jin Jung Sung x CrediThink Snail Honey Jelly Mask

by - January 14, 2020

Happy Tuesday, everyone! Now that we're a couple of weeks into the year and my 2019 favorites are all wrapped up - check them out if you're interested - it's back into regular content and I'm super excited about my first review of the year. Sheet masks, for me, are one of those beauty things that I do really, really regularly but don't share enough of here on the blog or on my socials. I'll admit, that's partially because I sort of hate taking mask selfies. Anyway, recently I got the chance to try out the Jin Jung Sung x CrediThink Snail Honey Jelly Mask* and it's a good one!

Keep reading for more!

This is a really interesting mask and I want to hit on all of the components of it before I get into my review. First off, the material of this mask is seriously unique - at least for my experience. It's a hydrogel coated Tencel sheet, which gives it a really lightweight and interesting texture. It contains, of course, snail mucin and honey, as well as royal jelly, propolis, ceramides, hyaluronic acid, niacinamide and lavender oil. Honestly, I feel like the essence in this mask is kind of a powerhouse based on the ingredients.

My first impression, which I took notes on as I was actually wearing it, is that this mask feels really great on the face. The fit, at least for my face, was really good and I found that I was able to move around and do things without it moving around. I really like the texture of it and the way that the hydrogel coating really seems to hold it in place and give a little bit of cushion. It also has a light lavender scent that makes it really perfect for bedtime, which is exactly when I prefer to do a sheet mask.

This mask is SUPER saturated with essence, which is a huge plus in my book. I found that I could really wear this for like 20-30 minutes and it didn't start to dry out on me and when I did remove it there was still plenty of essence left behind to pat into my skin. I tend to squeeze out what's left of the essence in the package and work it down my neck and decolletage as well, which I really think does make a difference in that often forgotten area.

On the skin, this mask feels really cooling and soothing, which is what I personally prefer. I really do love that cool feeling of a good sheet mask and this really gave it to me. Because it stayed so moist on the skin, it also really felt to me like it was doing something as I wore it.

I've used five of these masks (the box comes with ten) and I really feel like this is a mask that I see definite results from. They're subtle - I don't personally expect any mask to be a miracle worker - but I see increased hydration from this mask and I think my skin just generally looks and behaves a little bit more like how I want it to in the days immediately following using it. It's really gentle on the skin and packed with all of those nourishing ingredients that I think really do have a tangible effect on the overall look and feel of the skin.

Overall, I really, really love this sheet mask and once I get through the box I think I might just end up ordering more regardless of how ridiculous my sheet mask collection is. I really do think this one stands out for me and it's one where I feel like it's actually doing something for my skin rather than just bumping up hydration and giving me a little bit of a pamper session - though there's nothing wrong with that either. I highly recommend checking this out.

The Jin Jung Sung x CrediThink Snail Honey Jelly Mask* is available at CrediThink and retails for $21.99US for a 10 Pack of masks - though right now they're on sale for $16.99US!
