NAIL ART: Leafy Green & Beige Nails ft. Essie Spring 2020

by - June 05, 2020

Sometimes I just get an idea in my head of nail art that I want to do and I can't shake it out until I actually get it onto my nails. As I was swatching the Essie Spring 2020 Collection*, I got this idea in my head for pairing two of the polishes together and I just couldn't shake it so I just had to get it on my nails. It happens, right?

Keep reading to check it out!

The two polishes that I used for the base of this mani are Essie's Rainwear Don't Care*, which is a pale beige nude, and Can Dew Attitude*, which is a soft, neutral sage green. They really were just screaming for a gradient and I knew that they would blend really seamlessly and create something really soft. I also knew that it had to be matte, because with these really soft, muted shades I knew that taking down the shine would give some more impact.

Of course, I'm me and I love to stamp over a gradient, so I reached for this rich green stamping polish in Lush Leaf from Clear Jelly Stamper and paired it with this leaf image from the Nicole Diary L07 Stamping Plate.

And voila!

I'm so thrilled with how this turned out and I definitely think I'm going to be getting a lot of use out of these two polishes because they're so right up my alley. If you haven't checked out my Swatch & Review post of the Essie Spring 2020 Collection* (available from Nail Polish Canada), head over to check out all of the swatches and my thoughts on the overall collection.
