Hey guys! For our #CBBxManiMonday theme for May, we went with May Flowers because of all of the obvious reasons, but I will admit that I stuttered a little bit with inspiration over the weekend when I was trying to come with any idea. I knew that I wanted to use this beautiful turquoise polish that has been calling to me every since it arrived a few weeks ago and ultimately I decided to go for some high contrast black and white flowers for a bit of a of a deco vibe.

Different Dimension's All Of The Stars is described as a "turquoise crelly with added aurora shimmers, iridescent color shifting flakies, and holographic microflakies" and it is a STUNNER. It's a weird balance of bright and soft, if that makes any sense whatsoever, and it has a lot of interest in the formula but in a way that doesn't feel overwhelming and makes a phenomenal nail art base. Honestly, I'm brand new to Different Dimension but I need MORE. For this mani, I applied two coats of All Of The Stars to all of my nails.

For the floral design, I knew that I wanted to use two of the images from the Nicole Diary 100 Stamping Plate, which I've had in my collection for a while but hadn't gotten around to using in a mani. I also knew that I wanted the flowers to be white and considered filling in the leaves white as well, but ultimately decided to go with a really pale turquoise instead for a little bit of subtle interest. I picked up the images on my stampers and used a dotting tool and nail art brush to fill them in and let them dry down to be transferred to the nail. Once I had let a layer of sticky base coat get tacky, I transferred the images to my middle two nails. 

Once I had cleaned up my edges, I sealed in my stamping design with a layer of water based top coat and then followed with a generous layer of glossy top coat and voila!

Admittedly, as much as I love this design and this base polish, I do feel like my execution could have been a little bit better and if this hadn't been a last minute mani for #CBBxManiMonday I likely would have redone it... but that's because I'm a hopelessly neurodivergent perfectionist who is her own worst critic and THAT is for Monday Morning Blehs.
