Do they still make those holiday commercials with the Coke bears? I sort of hope they do, if only because there's such a specific holiday nostalgia attached to them. They are definitely what inspired today's mani, even if there is no cola product placement in this particular design. While this design could certainly be considered more winter themed than specifically holiday themed, I did add a touch of red and green and I do think that there's something Christmasy about polar bears, so I'm saying it's definitely a holiday mani!

Obviously gnome nails are very, very much having a moment right now. I mean, based on what I'm seeing in stores right now, I would go so far as to say that it's gnometastic out there this holiday season and everywhere you look - GONKS! I will admit that I really, really wanted to do some last holiday season but I didn't have a stamping plate with gnome images and my hand painting skills are... mid at best. So, of course, for this year's holiday season I made sure I had acquired some stamping plates featuring gnome images and I knew I would be doing at least one.

As someone who lives in a very, very cold climate, I can tell you that I think there's only been one Christmas in my entire life that wasn't a white Christmas. Honestly, most of them are frigidly cold and basically drowning in snow - and I sort of love it. I mean, admitttedly, having to drive around to different celebrations and gatherings in the snow and cold isn't ideal, but there's just something about that contrast between being warm inside with hot drinks and cozy sweaters and family while the snow and cold literally glisten outside is kind of... perfect. Anyway, I wanted to lean into that feeling for today's mani, which is definitely more generally wintery than straight up Christmasy.
