I was so thrilled the other day when Danielle from Just Add Mascara nominated me for the One Lovely Blog Award! I'm so honoured to be thought of, so I have so many thanks to Danielle for thinking of me. Go check out her blog and show her some support!
Apparently this nomination/award has been going around for ages, but in typical me fashion I was oblivious to it until this wonderful nomination. One Lovely Blog award comes with some rules... and even though I've never been a fan of rules, there are some that really ought to be followed. Here they are:

7 Facts About Me
- I'm a huge nerd for Doctor Who. Huge enough of a nerd that I have every intention of having a tattoo put on my body written in Gallifreyan one of these days. (Gallifreyan is the language of the Time Lords, for those of you unfamiliar.)
- My favorite kind of music is the singer/songwriter variety and lately all I've wanted to listen to is You + Me, but my favorite artist of all time is probably Ani Difranco.
- My dream is to be a novelist.. if only I could ever finish a novel that I start. It'll happen one day. I think I can, I think I can.
- I absolutely love sea turtles and one day would like to swim with them and also help with conservation efforts during their spawning period.
- I love cooking, but am really only in the last couple of years starting to experiment and actually get good at it. Also, when cooking I like to listen to movies or TV shows in the background, lately it has been all about cooking to Full House on Netflix.
- If I had to pick a "celebrity crush", it would undoubtedly either be Norman Reedus (after 3 weeks of marathoning all of The Walking Dead, can you blame me?) or Eugene Lee Yang from Buzzfeed even though I'm not sure he counts as a celebrity... but that's how I roll.
- My dog's name is Lucy and she is a chihuahua/Jack Russell terrier cross and I swear I love her as much as I would love my own child.
+1 Bonus Fact about Me: The next part of this post makes me feel anxious, because I'm painfully shy generally and it's hard for me to put myself out there to specific people by nominating them. Puppy Face!
