IPSY SPOILERS FEBRUARY 2015

by - February 05, 2015

I have to admit, I spent most of the last few weeks thinking that February would be my last Ipsy bag. I just haven't been wowed lately by what Ipsy has been including in bags. I can't say that I've been wholly unhappy with my bags, because I haven't, but the excitement and shine has really just gone off from when I used to be so excited to get them in the beginning. Also, there are other options that have just come to Canada and, honestly, I'm a crow and they're shiny because they're new. Know what I mean?

Anyway, of course Ipsy went and put together a bag for me this month that I'm really excited to get and try. It's definitely more makeup heavy than skincare, and those are the bags that always seem to hit best with me. Without further adieu, keep reading to take a look at what I'm getting in my bag as well as the rest of the items being included in bags this month.

1. Cargo Cosmetics Mini Lip Gloss in Anguilla
2. Demeter Fragrance Library First Love Roll On Perfume Oil
3. GLAMGLOW BRIGHTMUD Eye Treatment
4. ModelCo BLUSH Cheek Powder in Cosmopolitan or Peach Bellini
5. 'Tini Beauty Rob Scheppy for 'Tini Beauty Eyeshadow in Pearl Fizz

Seriously. It's not like there's anything mind blowing in this bag, BUT I'm super excited to get it. The lip gloss, which looks like a creamy pinky nude shade, is one that I'll actually wear. I love getting the Demeter Fragrance Oils and have really liked both of the scents that I've gotten in previous bags. It's described as an unusual floral, which I'm not sure I'll love, but the first note they mention is lemon zest and that just downright makes me intrigued. This is the first time I've actually gotten one of the GLAMGLOW samples and, even though it's probably the product in the GLAMGLOW line that I'm least drawn to, I'm eager to try it out and see how it goes. Opinions on this product seem to be really polar... so I might have to review it on the blog here. I love getting blush from subscription services and I feel like I've never gotten one that didn't work out. In fact, two of my favorite blushes are from subscription services - one from Bombshell Cosmetics that I got in an Ipsy bag and one from Kryolan that came in a Glossybox back in the day. GIVE ME ALL THE BLUSH, I exclaimed. I'm a little torn on the last item because... Anyone else feel like champagne eyeshadow singles are becoming the new black eyeliner pencil of subscription boxes? I have so many and I rarely use them. Sigh. Still, if it's good then it's good, right? We'll see.

Either way, I'm liking the look of my bag this month.

Now onto the other items people will be receiving this month.

1. China Glaze Nail Lacquer in Marry A Millionaire
2. City Color Cosmetics Creamy Lip Stain in Flirtini
3. City Color Cosmetics Lip Balm in Fire, Spice, Blush or Berry
4. Emite Make Up Professional Eyelash Curler
5. Eva NYC Up All Night Volumizing Spray (Would have liked this. LOVE Eva NYC.)
6. Hada Labo Tokyo Ultimate Anti-Aging Facial Mask (Sheet Mask)
7. Hey Honey Take It Off! Exfoliating Honey Feel Off Mask (This is the third or fourth time I haven't gotten this product...)
8. JOYA Composition No. 1 Parfum Oil (Want to try this based on the description....)
9. Luxie Beauty Large Angled Face Brush 504 (This brush pays for the bag and the shipping, just saying...)
10. Medusa's Makeup Safair Eye Shadow in Headhunter (SHIMMERY EGGPLANT. WHY NOT ME????)
11. Mitchell & Peach Fine Radiance Face Oil (I wouldn't have minded this either.)
12. NYX Cosmetics Slim Eye Pencil in Crystal Glitter, Gold, or Silver Shimmer
13. "Pencil Me In" Cosmetics Natural Eye Liner Pencil in Amethyst

Overall, I think that since this is a cosmetics heavy box, people are more likely to be happy with the contents. For me, it looks like I'm going to hold on for another month and see what March holds... I just can't seem to help myself.
