The colour of the year is here and is a perfect way to kick off spring! As you await the warmer weather, brighten up your cosmetic wardrobe with my Rose Quartz & Serenity beauty guide for the most safe yet playful approach to the colour of the year.

1. Make Up Forever Artist Shadow in Pearly Pink

Whether you have a darker skin tone or you're fair, a light wash of light irridesent shimmer will brighten up your eyes. Pop this in your inner corners of your eyes, use it as a brow highlight or sweep it all over your lid. It's a gorgeous colour that will be sure to be a staple in your kit.

2. NYX Macaron Earl Grey

This is edgy but super fun to wear. The creamy consistency allows you to be playful with the colour. Pair this lipstick with a warmer grey lip liner like Stone by MAC or put a touch in the centre of your lips, while wearing a pink lipstick and that'll transform it into a light purple. Now I know this isn't blue, or pink but it is the colour when you mix both those colours together and hey, it's just as harmonious as the colour of the year. I love this stuff because it is the answer to brightening up your complexion. This stuff can be used your eyes or on your face, before your foundation application, to create a beautiful porcelain look. This light purple corrector best works on fair-medium skin tones.

4. MAC Creamsheen Cream Cup Lipstick

This bad boy has been around for a while now but is the perfect shade of a nude pink. I love how versatile this lipstick is. You can dress it up with a darker lip liner or down with no liner. It's a part of their core collection so you'll be able to grab this all year round.

5. Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream Forever

I’m a fan of the Daisy Dream Eau de Toilette because the fragrance is a light, warm scented perfume that contains luminous accents. The elegant perfume contains: Blackberry, Grapefruit, Pear, Jasmine, Lychee, Blue Wisteria, White Woods, Musks, and Coconut Water as its base notes while giving off a free spirited, fresh essence. Not only does this smell heavenly, it'll add a little R&R to your vanity.
