SUBSCRIPTION: Ipsy Glambag March 2017

by - March 16, 2017

Admittedly, I've never been one to wait when it comes to spoilers, so I knew what I would be getting in this month's Ipsy bag and I was pretty excited for it to arrive. The actual bag this month is really, really nice. It's a fold over bag with a rosy pale pink faux suede one one side and a textured sort of waffle pattern on the other with a rose gold zipper and pull. I think this actually might be one of my favorite bags that I've ever gotten from Ipsy. I also grabbed a points reward this month, which is always an exciting thing!

Keep reading to see what I got this month!

tarte Cosmetics Tarteist Quick Dry Lip Paint in Rosé Deluxe Sample (0.03oz)

I was actually really excited to get this in this month's bag. It's a pretty tiny size, but I really don't mind because it gives me a chance to try out the formula and see if I like it before I invest in a full size. I have tried this one once and it definitely lives up to the quick dry claim, a sharp contrast to the original Tarteist Lip Paints, and it has a very light feel on the lips that reminded me of the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks. Of course, this is just my first impression so I'm going to have to try it and see how it goes.

Doucce Freematic Eye Shadow in 67 Marisa (0.05oz)

I was a little bit surprised at just how tiny this eyeshadow is, but I loved the look of the shade so I was looking forward to trying it. While I haven't put it on my eyes yet, I wasn't exactly overwhelmingly impressed when I swatched it. It's a really pretty shade, but I did find that it's one of those shades that has a deep base and loses some of it's brightness and shine when swatched. I'm reserving judgement on this one until I actually try it.

Mint Pear Collagen Serum Deluxe Sample (0.27oz)

I actually did try this as a part of my night time skin care routine once and I think it was pretty nice. I would say this is one of those hydrating type of serums that has a slightly gel-like formula. I don't anticipate that this is going to blow my mind or anything, but I liked how it felt on my skin and I'm pretty determined to use it up. One thing I'm going to be mindful of in 2017 is using up sample and deluxe sizes in my collection so that they don't just hang out and go bad.

Marc Anthony Deep Repairing Conditioning Treatment (1.69oz)

Honestly, I'm willing to try literally any deep conditioning treatment on my hair and they're pretty much always welcome in subscriptions for me - even if I don't end up liking them. I'm pretty interested into the aloe idea, since I've kind of been feeling a little bit over hair masks with heavier oils in them. Look for this in an empties, because I plan on putting it into rotation right away!

Elizabeth Mott Blending Brush

For real, every time I get a bag with a brush in it, I'm pretty content, but when it's a brush that I think will really slot well into my collection I'm extra excited. This is a very soft, domed blending brush that I know I will get use out of it and it's both pretty and seems like good quality, so what have I got to complain about?

Overall, I'm pretty happy with this month. There's nothing in here that I won't use or that is a repeat, so Ipsy is holding onto me for at least another month. Like I said in the intro, I also got my hands on the Hourglass Ambient Light Correcting Primer in a full size as a points reward and I plan on giving it a full review, so look for it coming soon on the blog once I've had the chance to test it out for review!

As always, if you're interested in signing up to get an Ipsy bag, the service costs $10US (plus $5 shipping for us Canadians) per month and you'll receive a bag filled with 5 deluxe or full size beauty products every month. Head over to Ipsy to sign up!

Thanks for reading!
