MANI MONDAY: F.U.N. Lacquer Empire w. Lotus Stamping
Hey guys! I have to admit that today's mani is definitely more about the base polish that the nail art. Unfortunately, I got hit with some food poisoning that basically laid me out for the entire weekend, so when I went to put my Mani Monday together I didn't have a lot of energy for intricate nail art. That said, this kind of nail art definitely has its place, in my opinion. A gorgeous base polish that's impactful on it's own with a little bit of metallic stamping to oomph. Perfect - and fast!
F.U.N. Lacquer's Empire is a polish I picked up from a fellow local nail polish junkie who found it just wasn't what she was expecting to be - and I feel like I hit the jackpot. This strong berry polish is packed with scattered holo and looks really dimensional and gorgeous. This is three coats and it definitely needs a really glossy top coat, but... I mean, it's just SO PRETTY it performs really beautifully on the nail.
It's a shame, in my opinion, to cover this base with too much so I decided to
go with this pretty lotus stamp from the Born Pretty Store BP-L076 stamping plate using Bundle Monster Magic Hour Stamping Polish. I love how this stamp gives it something pretty without being too overwhelming. I have a feeling this image is going to get a lot of use by me in the future for more subtle nail art looks.
Like I said, I didn't have a lot of energy to do my nails coming off such a horrible weekend... but I feel like this mani doesn't really scream lazy because the base polish is so impactful. Overall, I'm super happy with the look and glad it came together so quickly.
