MANI MONDAY: Green Shamrock Smoosh Nail Art

by - March 04, 2019

Happy March! For our #CBBxManiMonday theme for the next two weeks, we obviously had to go with green, and since there isn't a holiday theme that I don't love to hurl myself at, I'll be tackling St Patricks Day Nail Art with vigor. I have to say, I'm kind of over the moon thrilled with how this one turned out and I've already gotten compliments on it!

To see how I got this look, keep reading!

For the background, I was kind of going with a sort of camo inspiration for how it would turn out. I used a coat of OPI This Isn't Greenland (always a favorite green shade) as my base and then combined that with OPI Envy The Adventure and Sonia Kashuk Fatigued for the smoosh. I love a smoosh because there's so much you can do with it and it always ends up looking beautiful and very much had that camo vibe that I'd been hoping for. I added a coat of Sinful Colors Matte Top Coat to blend the colors and give me a base for my stamping.

For the stamping I used Maniology Straight Up Black Stamping Polish along with the Beauty Big Bang XL-067 Stamping Plate, which is packed full of St Patrick's Day stamping images. I wanted to keep it simple, so I chose these two images and added some interest in my two middle fingers by applying the stamp nearer to the tip on my middle finger and nearer to the base on my ring finger. I finished with another coat of Sinful Colors Matte Top Coat and voila!
