NAIL ART: Frosty Berry Reverse Stamped Leaves Nails
There are a handful of colors that I personally tend to think of as being intrinsically fall shades and the sort of blackened berry shade that I used as the base for this mani is definitely one of them. Honestly, this type of shade used to be my absolute signature before I really got into nail art and I don't reach for it nearly as much as I used to. That being said, as soon as I saw this polish listed on the Polish Pickup Facebook group I absolutely knew I had to have it and this entire mani came from just really, really wanting to use it.

Spooky Season from Different Dimension is described as "a stunning darkened violet jelly polish with orange to green to gold color shifting shimmers and holographic microflakies" and it is BEAUTIFUL. I've really, really developed a love for Different Dimension polishes over the last year. I haven't tried too many of them thus far, but the ones I have tried have consistently impressed me and I know that I definitely need to get my hands on more. I feel like this is one of those rich, vampy polishes that will be really universally flattering on just about any skin tone and looks beautiful in dead light, but really comes to life in direct light. Stunning, stunning.
For this mani, I applied two coats of Spooky Season to all of my nails and let them dry down completely.
For this design, I knew that I wanted to use this leaves image from the Whats Up Nails B044 Stamping Plate and I knew that I really wanted to fill it in with this almost white grey polish from Picture Polish, but I wasn't entirely sure what I was going to do about the stamping polish to pick up with to get the vibe I was going for. Luckily, I had just received an order of KADS Stamping Polishes and this shade just completely sang to me. I knew it would show up really well over the base and provide a good amount of contrast, but would still really feel cohesive and smooth. I picked up using this polish and filled in the leaves in almost-white using a dotting tool (which I will admit I got a little bit rushed with and didn't quite do the perfect fills I prefer, but I still dig it...)
Once the designs were ready to transfer, I applied a thin layer of sticky base coat and let it dry for about a minute until it was tacky and then transferred the image straight from the stamper to the nail. I used a cuticle tool to trim the excess, crisped up the edges with a clean up brush dipped in acetone, and then sealed in my design with a nail art top coat. Finally, I finished with a generous layer of quick dry glossy top coat and voila!

While I can't recommend you go out and pick up this base polish since it was from Polish Pickup, I do highly recommend checking out Different Dimension if you haven't already and also Polish Pickup. I resisted PPU for so long because I knew that it would be a rabbit hole, but I just love it so much and there are so many gems like this that I've gotten my hands on because of it.
