In December of 2020, I put together what has become one of my favorite nail art designs I've ever done. It's one that has sparked countless different versions for various holidays and themes and it's one that I've brought back a different version of every Christmas since. While I did consider it, I couldn't go and break tradition this year, so I decided to make this year's version green and not overthink it. It's just such a classic at this point - it had to be done!

One of my favorite styles of holiday nail art is sweater nails. Obviously there's a million different ways to do sweater nails - and I honestly sort of feel like I've tried most of them at this point - but in my opinion a simple, straightforward sweater design is always a classic and a sort of can't-go-wrong type of design for this time of year. Though I resisted picking up the new Uberchic Ultimate DIY Sweater Palette (which I will undoubtedly stop resisting and pick up soon, if we're being honest) I did pick up some other Uberchic plates for this holiday season and was super excited to use one of those images for this mani!

Though it wasn't necessarily my intention, today's Halloween mani went from a generally witcht inspiration to something that feels distinctly Slitherrrrrry, if you know what I mean. That being said, I'm honestly like... straight up obsessed with this mani and how it all turned out. I had sort of a loose idea of what I was going to do... something in my notes like "deep green, witchy images".. but I was so very much no prepared for how this turned out in the end. I do not like to toot my own horn, but I am just so in love with how this one turned out.

For the last Green themed #CBBxManiMonday for this month, I feel like I'm cheating a wee bit since I would personally categorize this more as a purple mani... but I am so ready for spring and I was so excited to try out the new stamping plate that was kindly sent to me from Whats Up Nails that I just couldn't help myself. Also, I personally think that green and purple is one of the best colour pairings ever, so it just felt right.

I will fully admit to having prepared really, really far in advance for holiday nail art this year. Over probably the past six months, I've been collecting nail polishes and stamping plates that I knew I was going bust out this holiday season. One of the products that I picked up is the base polish for today's mani - and it's a STUNNER - but I couldn't for the life of me actually figure out what to do with it once I sat down to do holiday nails. One of my personal favorite designs, though, is classic Fair Isle sweater nails so I just leaned into it and created a simple, straightforward mani with a truly, truly gorgeous base.
