One of my favorite things to check out every year are the gift sets from drugstore beauty brands that seem to start rolling out around the middle of November. Unlike the high end sets that started coming out in the summer this year, these are ones that you have to wait a little bit longer for, but they're always a really affordable price and I think there are some great options. I've tried to find links for as many of the ones I'm listing here as I could, but I've pretty much seen all of these in stock in local drugstores and big box stores already.

So if you're looking for lower cost options for holiday beauty gifts, keep reading!

Rather than choosing one gift for the people on my list, I'll always take the opportunity to put together a series of smaller gifts to amount to one big ol' stocking full of goodness. I think that the reason I like doing this so much is because I always see little things that would be perfect for the people closest to me, but have a really hard time choosing just one larger gift. I suspect this is one of those little hints that I have ADHD, but either way I think it's a really fun way to gift. So I decided that this year I wanted to put together some little sample stockings with ideas of what kinds of things I would want to fill a stocking with - with options for HIM, HER, & BEAUTY JUNKIES. A lot of these items could be gifts on their own,  because I stuck to small in size more than small in price on this one.... I also tried to choose only products that are available online, because I know that makes it easier for a lot of people.

I feel like the holiday sets started so early this year that a lot of them are already sold out and have been for a while. And by "I feel like...", what I actually mean is "I know that..." Admittedly, I'm not a huge fan of how it played out this year, considering we started seeing holiday sets before fall even fell, but I guess I don't personally have any say in the matter. All of that said, I do love holiday sets because I feel like they're usually a good value and they always get me excited to both give and receive. I thought about giving each of the categories of Skin Care, Hair Care, Bath & Body, and Fragrance their own posts, but I felt like that would only encourage me to get way too out of hand with my picks for each category so I streamlined everything and chose either things that I've tried or things that either have a phenomenal reputation or have been highly recommended to me by people I trust. I remember my mom always had the Avon catalogues around the house when I was growing up and I remember really clearly going through and drawing circles around the things I wanted. When I was little, it was always things like huge bottles of bubble bath and adorable lip balms, with a little smattering of toys or novelty items. As I got older, I would choose makeup or bath and body items and it seemed like inevitably a couple of them would be in my stocking come Christmas. Me and my brothers, as well as our significant others, still get stockings from mom come Christmas, and I've taken to gifting friends and family members in the form of stockings as well!

One of my favorite holiday sets for the past few years has been these little tins that BITE Beauty releases every year. Generally they're just under $30CAD ($25US) and contain 4 deluxe sized lip products from their line. This year's set is called The Perfect Bite and is available exclusively at Sephora. Unfortunately, I missed out on last year's set because by the time I decided I wanted to buy it, it was well and truly sold out, so I didn't hesitate this year and bought it pretty much the first day it was available to not VIB Rouge members on the Sephora website.
