Because of our COVID-19 situation, we're back in lockdown here in Manitoba and I don't know if I'm going to be able to see my mom at all for Mother's Day this year, which is bumming me out pretty hard. I guess that kind of make it extra important to do some Mother's Day nails this year and I went with purple, my own mom's favorite colour, a little bit so that I could send her a picture of them. I love my mom, she's the best, and I know that I'm really, really lucky in that regard so I do definitely like to celebrate this particular day.

When it comes to Mother's Day, I like to let my mom know how much she means to me by making it clear that I think she needs a little pampering. It doesn't hurt that my mom's birthday is pretty much always the same week as Mother's Day - and, in fact, the same day this year!
