REVIEW: LIDÉAL Sweet Symphony Blush from BornPrettyStore*

by - April 24, 2015

If you saw my post from Monday, you know that I chose a couple of items from BornPrettyStore for review here on the blog! Today I have the second item I chose, the LIDÉAL Sweet Symphony Blush in shade 01, and I've gotta tell you... this one is the favorite for me. I've been saying it over and over again, but I'm in the throes of a blush obsession at the moment and this blush is really getting it done for me.

Keep reading for a closer look.

This blush comes housed in a pretty standard packaging, though I can't recall ever seeing a blush compact in this particular shade. Weirdly enough, my favorite thing about the packaging is the text on the lid. I don't know what it says, but there's something about it that is just really cute to me. I guess I really like Chinese writing. Inside, the pan does flip up and there's a small mirror and a brush that is a literal throwaway for me... I actually forgot to take a picture before I threw it away. Just because I feel like this is important for me, this also seems to click shut fairly firmly and I don't have any fear tossing it in my bag.

The first time I swatched this, I was absolutely amazed at how smooth and creamy it is. I'll admit, I wasn't at all expecting that. It's also incredibly pigmented and one tap of the brush into the product is enough to give a really beautiful flush to the cheeks. This blush is completely matte, which is definitely my preference, but doesn't look at all powdery on the skin. I would say that the wear time with this blush was pretty good, it wasn't mind blowing and I did definitely notice fading but it still held up pretty well.

I was a little surprised by this shade, because it is different from what I thought I was going to get... And yet, I'm actually really loving it. I would classify this shade as a kind of neon peach, which I realize sounds pretty scary but is actually gorgeous on the cheeks. I think this shade would actually look gorgeous on most skin tones from very fair to actually quite deep. I'm anticipating that this is going to look extra beautiful in the summer with a healthy tan.

Honestly, you guys, I think this is the best blush formula I've ever used at this price point and I'm pretty much planning on picking up the rest of the shades for my collection in hopes that they'll be as good as this one.
