WHAT I WORE THIS WEEK: June 27-31, 2015
I know I missed a couple of weeks of WHAT I WORE THIS WEEK, because I did a little bit of traveling and keeping up with photographing my makeup every morning was hard, mmk? But I did remember to keep it up this week. I'm thinking, in upcoming posts, of trying to get selfies of my makeup every day, but I have a bit of insecurity when it comes to my unfiltered skin and I feel like filters ruin the makeup... But I'm working on it! If that's something you'd really like to see, please let me know in the comments. I'm also trying to devise a plan to improve the photo quality (since I'm generally rushing out the door and vaguely half asleep when I take these photos) so look for that in the future. If there are any products mentioned here that you're interested in an actual review of, please let me know and I'll do my best to put one together for you! Now, let's conclude this adieu and look and what was on my face this week!
Keep reading to take a look!
FACE:
Bourgois Health Mix Serum Foundation in 52 Vanilla
Maybelline FIT Me Concealer in 15 Fair

Kryolan for Glossybox Blush in Glossy Rosewood
Hard Candy Lit Up Highlighter Duo
EYES:
L'Oreal Color Riche Dual Effects Eyeshadow Quad in Rose Nude
L'Oreal Telescopic Shocking Extensions Waterproof Mascara in Blackest Black
BROWS:
NYX Micro Brow Pencil in Ash Brown
I'm trying to make myself reach for my small quads rather than always going for the larger ones in my collection, which is why I reached for one of my favorites for this look. I kept it really simple and just did a soft, smoked out eye look with a little bit of drama on the lower lash line. The face was very simple, with a slight mauve flush and a subtle glow from the highlighter. This is definitely a go to type of look for me.
FACE:
Dr.G Beyond Young BB Cream
Maybelline FIT Me Concealer in 15 Fair
NYC Smooth Skin Loose Face Powder
Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer
theBalm Balm Desert Blush/Bronzer
Hard Candy Lit Up Highlighter Duo
EYES:
I ♥ Makeup Death By Chocolate Palette
L'Oreal Telescopic Shocking Extensions Waterproof Mascara in Blackest Black
BROWS:
NYX Micro Brow Pencil in Ash Brown
This look was really bronzed up and summery. I went pretty heavy on the bronzer to warm up and add a little bit of depth to my skin and used the Balm Desert on my cheeks to really make it like I had been out in the sun. On my eyes, I used the rose gold type shade from the palette and blended it out with a medium neutral brown in the crease. This is another really classic summer look that I've been drawn to recently.
FACE:
Pixi Flawless Beauty Primer
Maybelline FIT Me Matte + Poreless Foundation in 115
MAC Pro Longwear Concealer in NW20
NYC Smooth Skin Loose Face Powder
Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer
Essence Silky Touch Blush in Babydoll
Hard Candy Lit Up Highlighter Duo
EYES:
Coastal Scents Revealed Palette
L'Oreal Telescopic Shocking Extensions Waterproof Mascara in Blackest Black
BROWS:
NYX Micro Brow Pencil in Taupe
This look is definitely one that I default to when I have no idea what to do with myself. On the eyes I did a simple contoured eye look with a little bit of pale, shimmer taupe all over the lid. Really, everything about this was fairly subtle. I was very unhappy with the primer, because I looked like a slick mess by lunchtime. I was planning on using the primer up, but I think I'm going to have to wait until winter when my skin is drier and use it with a really matte foundation.
FACE:
Bourgois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation in 52 Vanilla
MAC Pro Longwear Concealer in NW20
NYC Smooth Skin Loose Face Powder
The Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder in Light Matte
Cargo Swimmables Blush in Coronado

EYES:
Too Faced Love Sweet Love Palette
Coastal Scents Hot Pot in Kokomo Cafe
L'Oreal Telescopic Shocking Extensions Waterproof Mascara in Blackest Black
BROWS: (Not Pictured because I forgot in my out the door haste!)
Chella Tantalizing Taupe Eyebrow Color Pencil
L'Oreal Brow Stylist Plumper in Medium To Dark
I needed this look to really last on my skin, because it was a very long day. I did a classic eye look using the Too Faced palette, which I haven't reached for in literally months, and made sure to set everything with my L'Oreal Infallible Setting Spray. Gotta tell you guys, this look held up really, really well other than the blush - which disappeared completely around lunchtime. This look did need some touch ups with my Essence All About Matt! Fixing Compact Powder, but that's to be expected with a dewy foundation in the summer!
FACE:
L'Oreal Visible Lift Blur Foundation
MAC Pro Longwear Concealer in NW20
NYC Smooth Skin Loose Face Powder
The Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder in Light Matte
theBalm Balm Dessert Blush/Bronzer
Mary Kay Mineral Cheek Color Duo in Ripe Watermelon (Just the highlight shade)
EYES:
MAC Pro Longwear Paintpot in Painterly
Essence Cookies & Cream Eyeshadow in Last Night A Cookie Saved My Life
L'Oreal Telescopic Shocking Extensions Waterproof Mascara in Blackest Black
BROWS:
NYX Micro Brow Pencil in Ash Brown
LIPS:
Maybelline Color Blur Matte Lip Pencil in 30 Partners in Crime
This look kinda just happened after I slept in and had no brain power to think of what I wanted to use. I've been wanting to reach for this foundation again to give it another shot after seeing it mentioned in a Youtube video and I'm still not sure how I feel about it. The rest of the look is very light, with just washes of colour on the skin for pretty much everything other than the lips. I tend not to include lip products in here because I often will just grab something and throw it in my purse on the way out the door, but I've been wanting to try this lip pencil so I decided that this soft, nude look could use a pop of bright red on the lips.
MOST USED THIS WEEK:
NYC Smooth Skin Loose Face Powder - 5 times
L'Oreal Telescopic Shocking Extensions Waterproof - 5 times
NYC Micro Brow Pencil - 4 times
