Hey guys! After nearly a year, I decided to bring back monthly favorites. Admittedly, a huge part of that is because this month had some outstanding favorites for me and I really, really wanted to share them with you guys. For the most part, this has been new to me products, but there are a couple of old favorites in here as well. I'd love it if you'd let me know if Favorites posts are something that you guys really like in the comments,  because some months I know I'll be excited to do them and others I know I'll feel like they're a bit of a chore, but I'm happy to do them if they're something you guys like!

Keep reading to check out what I'm currently obsessed with... because that really is the state of this month's favorites!

It's been a while since I've done a What's In My Travel Bag post... because I haven't actually travelled anywhere out of province in nearly a year now. Admittedly, I'm not the biggest traveller and I'd pretty much always prefer to be within a half hour commute of my bed. Maybe an hour, but I tend to get cranky. I swear, I want to see more of the world, but so much of it is just so far from my cocoon. Anyway, me and my boyfriend are headed out to spend a week with some of his family out in the Okanagan, so it was time to pack up a bag and it seemed like a good time to let you guys know what I'm taking out there with me! I tried not to overpack this time, because I pretty much always plan for the makeup apocalypse when I go on a trip, and I think I did pretty well!

If you want to know what made the travel cut, keep reading!

I swear, every time I look at products from Paul & Joe, I am taken by their packaging. I feel like they've hit a kind of sweet spot where it's cute and super girly, but in a way that's just cheeky enough to keep it from being saccharine. Does this make any sense? This is how my brain works. Anyway, because I can't actually find the brand locally, I hadn't ever gotten my hands on any of their products until I recently got the chance to check out a couple of products from the Paul & Joe Daydream Believer Collection for Summer 2017.

In 2017, there really has been no brand that has been more hyped than the highly affordable The Ordinary, from Deciem. Everyone is talking about the brand (including me) and new releases are selling like hotcakes. A while ago I managed to get my hands on the two primers that they released and I'm really happy to share them with you guys today! Also, if you're as hyped about about the new The Ordinary Colours Foundations as basically everyone seems to be, keep an eye out - I ordered both types the day they launched and I'm just waiting for them to arrive to me!

Anyway, for more about these primers, keep reading!

I have to tell you guys, as soon as I saw pictures of the new mark. Colour Collection products online, I absolutely wanted to try them. I mean, not even going to lie, the packaging is kind of amazing, right? I love how modern and young it looks and I really feel like more and more people are going to start taking notice of mark. because of the branding and package design that they have on their products. BUT how's the formula?

I feel like seasonal wish lists might be a thing I start to do here on the blog more consistently. I really love looking through what's new or up and coming in the beauty world each season and putting together a list of what I want and why I want it. This wishlist is a little bit different from some of my other wishlists, because I decided to include skin care products that I'm lusting after as well.

So without too much more rambling, keep reading to take a look at what I'm lusting after!

You guys know just how deep my love of VICHY goes recently. I literally want to put every product on my face and see how it works out for my skin, because there really have been a lot of winners in the products that I've tried over the past year or so. One product that I've always wanted to try is the VICHY IDEALIA BB Cream*. The VICHY IDEALIA line is intended for people who are showing the first signs of aging, and I've already pretty much fallen in love with the IDEALIA LIFE SERUM & SKIN SLEEP*,  so I've wanted to try this as well. I've put it on my hand several times in the store and thought about purchasing it, but never managed to actually get it into my basket and home with me. So recently when I had the chance to try out some VICHY products that I'd had my eye on, this BB Cream was at the top of the list.

So, did it live up to the hopes? Keep reading to find out!

I have to admit, I've finally started keeping a list of things I'm trying so that I can put these posts together each month. Previously, it's been a little more loose than that. A lot of these products are minis are deluxe sizes, because I'm on a mission to make a dent in the samples I've started piling up in my house. This is also where I'll be featuring my updated thoughts on products that I receive in my Ipsy bag once I've used them a couple of times. These aren't full reviews really, because these are just products that I've used casually rather than with a testing eye, but I can give you a little bit of my impressions of them! As always, products I do full reviews on won't be featured in these posts, of course.

Without further rambling about the point of this post, keep reading to see what I tried this month!

Sometimes when I go into Winners, I'm tempted by good prices to try things that I might not otherwise have picked up. I'm actually not a big fan of highlighter palettes because I feel like there's probably only a shade or two in each palette that I'll be able to use. Of course, for $6.99, I'm not too worried about whether or not I'm going to get use out of all of the shades and it seems like it's worth a try. So, recently I picked up this ProFusion Studio Highlight Palette in hopes that there might be a shade or two in here that I can make work for my skin. I've been testing it out and I'm ready to give you guys my review!

Hey guys! Welcome to my Stuff I Tried This Month post! In case you've never seen one of these posts, here's what it's about. Basically, I tend to try a lot of things that don't really warrant their own post, so for the past few months I've been gathering up these products and doing a collective post with mini-reviews of each of the products. This is often products that are deluxe or mini sized, but also products that are either quite old or even discontinued. I figure this is a good way to let you guys know what I'm trying out each month and what I think of it. So, without further ado...

I've gotta tell you guys... This month I really decided that I want to work on getting through a lot of products in my collection because I've been getting a little bit overwhelmed with how much stuff I have hanging around. As you've seen from the declutter posts that I've done so far, I've been cleaning out, but I've also been trying to use things up. So far so good, I think, since this month's empties is possibly the biggest I've ever done. I've got a little of everything in this empties post and I think most of them I've got solid thoughts on.

I swear, you guys, I can't believe it's already July. I know that this is a thing that people say pretty much all the time, but I really have no idea where June went. I've been incredibly busy this past month, doing a lot of socializing and spending time at the beach or the pool, and my makeup routine specifically has definitely shifted to being more about summery looks and keeping things simple. That's really what my favorites are about this month!

I think I'm going to have to be a little more diligent about keeping track of the products that I'm trying out each month, because I always seem to end up missing at least one product from the post. I will, however, include anything I miss in next month's post because I think these mini-reviews can be helpful. This month is pretty lip product heavy, which is really no surprise for anyone who knows my downright obsession with lippies. I also have some face products, an eye liner, and a fragrance.

So, if you want to check out what I've been trying this month, keep reading!

I decided this month that I need to be a little more diligent in keeping track of what I'm using, because I really don't know what my favorites are going to be until I stop and sit down to take the pictures. The way that I choose my favorites is really instinctual. It's based on what I've used the most over the month as well as the products I'm most excited about. Obviously, these tend to be things that are new to my collection, but sometimes I do throw in old favorites that have made a resurgence. This month's favorites is a good one, guys. I'm so excited about all of these products that I can't even stand it!

So check out the products I've been loving this month!

So, as you can see, I skipped last month's empties post. Why, you ask? There just weren't enough products that I used up so I figured that I would just hold onto the ones I had and do a double empties this month. I think, in the future, I'll do it that way during months when I don't have a lot of empties because it seems silly to do a post without only a few products in it. Anyway, I have some good ones in this month's post - as well as some really old ones that were hanging out in the back of my collection. Those older ones haven't really been touched in a while, so I apologize if my mini-reviews are a little bit lacking. I'll do my best!

To check out what I used up in the last couple of months, keep reading!

So... I'm a little late this month, but I actually wasn't really sure what my favorites were this month until I had a minute to sit down and really think about what I've been using and loving. Most months it's kind of a knee jerk, but this has been another month of a lot of new products rotating though my routine, which makes it a little harder. If you're interested in reading about the products that I've tried out this month without full reviews, check back tomorrow for a whole post dedicated to them!

For now, though, keep reading to check out my favorite products of March 2016!

So a few times a year, when all kinds of new products have been released and are out there for all kinds of drooling over, I tend to do a little fantasy shopping online. I suspect that we all (and by "we all", I mean all of us makeup junkies) do this from time to time, building a wishlist and and dreaming of all the makeup we want to have in our lives. Since it's officially spring now, I figured it's about time to do another wishlist of the products that I really want to have in my collection!

I added honorable mentions in here as well, and most of them are products that are a lot harder for us Canadians to get our hands on - What's up, Ulta? - as well as some things that aren't so much new as just... wanted. So without further adieu - Let us begin!

When this tag started popping up in my Bloglovin' feed, I knew that I was going to end up doing it. I love a tag post, especially one that works well in a blog format, because I like answering questions about makeup even more than I like just rambling off with my own thoughts about products.

Honestly, I feel like January was a month of new discoveries in my makeup collection. Between gifts from Christmas, shopping trips using gift cards, and all of the new releases happening in the makeup world, I was a little overcome with new things in the first weeks of 2016. Surprisingly, I also rediscovered a few long time favorites that had been passed up - and one that I had completely forgotten existed until I saw it in the drugstore and picked it up on a whim. I feel like this was a good month for me when it came to beauty. My skin is looking better than it has in all my adult life and, in turn, my makeup is applying a hell of a lot more smoothly. I'm not bragging, I swear, but it's been a good month! Surprisingly, thought, choosing my favorites this month has been a breeze.

Keep reading for a closer look at the products that rose above the rest in January!

While Zoe is on vacation in warmer climes, I had the opportunity to put together a Guest Post over on Writing Whimsy! The post is all about my favorite products that are worth the cost of shipping to Canada, since all of us Canadian beauty lovers know that can be a pain and a half. So head over to Writing Whimsy now and check out the products that I would absolutely give my stamp of approval, with products from the US, the UK, and South Korea!
