FALL MUST HAVE: Wet N Wild Megalast Nail Color in Haze Of Love

by - October 21, 2015

I don't often feature nail polish here on the blog - which isn't actually because I don't LOVE doing nails, it's simply because I don't have the patience to do nail swatches. How's that for a moment of honesty? But seriously, huge kudos to all of the nail bloggers who do nail swatches where their business is just on point, because that is WORK. Anyway, when I was thinking about doing Fall Must Have's here on the blog, I knew I had to do nails because this time of year is my hands down (get it, ha!) favorite for doing nails and fall colours are the ones that I think, personally, look best on me. When I was looking through  my collection for what to wear the other day, the Wet N Wild Megalast Salon Nail Color in the shade Haze of Love jumped out at me instantly as the absolute perfect shade for fall!

The Wet N Wild Megalast polishes are honestly some of the best in the drugstore, in my opinion, and they are at such an insanely affordable price point that it's really hard not to just scoop up the whole collection - although I feel like by now I actually have picked up every single shade that I will wear, so I guess I kinda have. Anyway, I want to talk about this specific shade. First of all, it applies absolutely beautifully, smooth and very pigmented. This polish is opaque in 2 coats and I feel like it levels really beautiful to give you a smooth, shiny finish even without top coat. Even on my nails, which are in pretty rough condition at the moment, this polish gives you a look like you have great nails even underneath the polish - which I find can be tricky with cream polishes. I also find that, even though it's not advertised as such, this is a fairly quick drying polish and as long as I give it a couple of minutes between coats I don't have to worry about messing it up.

My personal favorite thing about this line of polishes is the brush. This is by far the widest nail polish applicator that I've ever seen. It's flat and the bristles are curved at the end so that when you press it against your nail you can really easily get clean, perfectly applied polish without having to work for it. (If you have very small nail beds, this might not be the best for you, but even on my pinkies I find this incredibly easy to work with!)

Haze of Love with an accent nail topped with Julep's Tatiana.

And now for the shade... This deep rusty brown/red shade is my perfect fall red, and I feel like it would be flattering on anyone from very fair like me to the deepest of skin tones. In the bottle, it looks like it has some rosiness to it, but I think that's somewhat deceiving. On the nails, this is very much in the marsala family where there is a balance of red and brown shades. If you're looking for the perfect deep fall nail shade, I highly recommend this polish because as far as I'm concerned - It's perfect!
