I'm someone who generally doesn't like to use more than one stamping plate for a mani, but as soon as I saw the new Uberchic Halloween 09 plate, I knew that I wanted to pair this really delicate full cover spiderweb image with another delicate spiderweb image from the KADS Halloween 008 plate. I also decided to pair it with one of the new limited edition Scooby Doo polishes from Wet N Wild, which I absolutely had to pick up because I really, really love Scooby Doo to a degree that I think might surprise some people. Anyway, I put it all together and I'm really happy with how it came out.

Recently, my local Walmart did their Wet N Wild display and there were quite a few new products on the shelves - so of course I had to reign myself in from buying a little bit of everything. I did, of course, pick up a few things though and two of those things are the Wet N Wild Megalast Lipsticks - available in high shine and matte finishes. Admittedly, at just over $4 each, I was tempted to go mad with lipstick buying power like I once would have, but I decided to be good and just try one of each to see how I liked the formulas.

When it comes to highlighters at the drugstore, my personal favorites have been and continue to be from Wet N Wild, so when I saw the Wet N Wild Hello Halo Blushlighter duos in the display at my local store I knew I had to pick one up. Although there were two different shade options in the display (3 available online), the clear choice for me was After Sex Glow (although, on the Wet N Wild website, I think this shade is called I Met Someone), so I grabbed it and couldn't wait to get it on my face.

Every year, Wet N Wild releases their Fantasy Makers collection with displays popping up in stores with various products to create your Halloween makeup looks. This year, though, they released three palettes along with the collection and we actually got them here in Canada - which definitely doesn't always happen with Limited Edition Wet N Wild products. I was so excited to see the display at my local Shoppers Drug Mart that I grabbed the palette that called to me the most without even a second thought. I mean... Of course I did, right?

Admittedly, I don't get as excited as I used to about new makeup releases. It might be because my collection is starting to get overwhelming (I think it's time to Marie Kondo that shit) or because we sort of see a lot of the same coming out as trends come and go and, once you recognize that, it can sort of temper that excitement. That being said, I always get excited about new Wet N Wild releases because not only have they really been killing it the past could of years after a little bit of a lull, but they also really tend to have more hits than misses for me - and all at a really, really affordable price point. One of those most exciting new releases from the brand, for me anyway, was definitely the new Wet N Wild Color Icon 10 Pan V.I.Purple Eyeshadow Palette.

I don't have any trouble admitting that when it comes to new releases of the Wet N Wild 10 Pan Color Icon palettes, I'm basically interested in picking all of them up. Based on the previous 4 releases, which I generally really enjoyed and have continued to use fairly regularly, and the fact that the price point is basically unbeatable, I'm pretty much always going to want to grab them and try them out for myself. As I write this, I've picked up three of them so far, but I suspect that the fourth will also inevitably end up in my collection. For my first review, I wanted to go with the first one I picked up, which is the Wet N Wild Color Icon My Glamour Squad palette.

Sometimes, there are products that I would have completely overlooked and never bothered to pick up if not for the recommendation of the trusted bloggers and vloggers that I personally follow. In my opinion, that's one of the best things about finding those people whose opinions and recommendations you can really trust. Recently, I decided to pick up the new Wet N Wild Megaglo Highlighting Powder in Bloom Time very specifically because of a recommendation from a Youtuber. From a glance at the pan and then at my quite light skin, you would not be surprised that this would otherwise have been a product that I would have written off as being wrong for my skin and moved on with. Even as I drove home after picking it up, I kept glancing at the pan and thinking there was no way it was going to work on my skin.

As a Canadian makeup lover - particularly someone who really loves affordable makeup - it's really frustrating when we don't get the amazing limited edition collections that drugstore brands like Wet N Wild tend to release. Maybe it's just my local stores, but I rarely see these products out on the shelves and ordering online can be a little bit cost prohibitive. So, clearly, I was THRILLED when I popped into my local Rexall and saw that they had a selection of products from the Wet N Wild Fire & Ice Collection. When I first really started getting into the online beauty community, there were a handful of products that everyone raved about and loved. The now discontinued Wet N Wild Color Icon trios were firmly on that list. Some of the best quality, most affordable shadows in the drugstore, everyone had at least one or two of these in their collection. Recently, along with the new 10 pan palettes, Wet N Wild have reformulated and released some of the old trios as quads that include matte transition shades and I was really excited to see Silent Treatment among those, as it was always my personal favorite from the collection.

Of all four of the new Wet N Wild Color Icon 10 Pan Palettes that have been recently released, Rosé In The Air was definitely the most interesting to me... and, of course, the last one I was able to find. As soon as this started popping up online and influencers started receiving their palettes from PR, the similarities to the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette, one of my all time favorite palettes, were pretty clear. Of course, I had to test it out myself and see if it actually held up as a dupe palette.

When the initial photos of the new Wet N Wild 10 Pan Palettes came out a couple of months ago, I have to admit that I wasn't entirely excited about the Nude Awakening palette. I never picked up this palette when it was originally released in the old format, which was laid out differently than this one but contained the exact same shades as far as I can tell, so I ultimately decided to give this one a go. I feel like all neutral palettes have become a little bit less exciting than they were a few years ago, because there are just so many of them. However, when I took a look at this one in store I decided to give it a go.

Aside from the new eyeshadow palettes, if there was one thing I was most excited to see coming to stores here in Canada, it was definitely the Wet N Wild Megaglo Highlighting Powder in Blossom Glow. I'm basically a massive fan of the Megaglo highlighter in the shade Precious Petals, but when they released a lighter shade and I heard some absolutely incredible things about the shade and formula for pale skinned people, I was 100% on board for trying it out and was even tempted to pay the insane shipping costs to Canada. Luckily, didn't have to. I found this in store recently and I've been using it consistently to see if it lived up to my hopes.

When it was announced that Wet N Wild was going to be discontinuing their 8 pan palettes and replacing them with 10 pan palettes, I can't imagine that I was the only one who braced for losing the Comfort Zone palette, which I think has long been one of the best larger palettes in the drugstore, though it was sorely missing matte shades. Luckily, the company knew what they were doing and decided to release a newly reformulated 10 Pan Comfort Zone Palette that included two new matte shades and maintained all of the shades that were in the old palette. Of course, there was the question of whether the reformulation would stand up to the old palette.

If there's been one new release so far in 2018 that I've been legitimately excited about, it has absolutely been the new eyeshadow releases from Wet N Wild. For a long time, Wet N Wild straight up had the best eyeshadows in the drugstore with their ColorIcon formula, but it's a been a really, really long time since the permanent line has been touched and it was about time for a makeover - so they went for it hard. With new palettes added to the line and the addition of matte transition shades added to old favorite palettes, Wet N Wild went hard with this new release and I really wanted to give it its due, so I'm going to feature all the of the palettes that I pick up in their own individual posts.

As highlighter has become the thing that everyone in the beauty world seems to be obsessed with, there's still been quite a lack of good highlighters in the drugstore. Honestly, I feel like there have been one or two stand outs, but everything else seems to pale in comparison to its higher end counterparts. However, with the release of the Wet N Wild Megaglo Highlighting Powders, everyone seemed to go mad with excitement and I was absolutely dying to get my hands on them - or at least on the lighter shade, Precious Petals. FINALLY, with the help of a reader who gave me a heads up that I could find this shade at Rexall, I managed to get my hands on it and the excitement was oh so real!

If there was one drugstore release that I think sent everyone spinning recently, I'd say it's definitely the Wet N Wild Photofocus Collection of complexion products. With the cost of drugstore foundations seeming to be ever crawling higher, truly affordable foundations from the drugstore are starting to be like unicorns - if unicorns came in a limited shade range and were always sold out! I was thrilled when I found out that we were going to be getting these in Canada and literally stalked my local Superstore waiting for the new display to be put out - and then went mad with power grabbing everything literally 2 hours after it did.

Recently, I was lucky enough to win some of the new products from Wet N Wild and I pretty much lost my mind. As affordable brands go, Wet N Wild is one of my absolute favorites because I always feel like they can be counted on to bring gorgeous pigmentation and texture to their powder products at an amazing price. For me, it can actually be a little bit hard to get my hands on Wet N Wild products (which will make the brand pretty high on my shopping list when I head to the States this summer for holiday, since it's so accessible there) so I was really excited to get to try all of these out and I'm definitely excited to give you guys my thoughts on them!

I don't often feature nail polish here on the blog - which isn't actually because I don't LOVE doing nails, it's simply because I don't have the patience to do nail swatches. How's that for a moment of honesty? But seriously, huge kudos to all of the nail bloggers who do nail swatches where their business is just on point, because that is WORK. Anyway, when I was thinking about doing Fall Must Have's here on the blog, I knew I had to do nails because this time of year is my hands down (get it, ha!) favorite for doing nails and fall colours are the ones that I think, personally, look best on me. When I was looking through  my collection for what to wear the other day, the Wet N Wild Megalast Salon Nail Color in the shade Haze of Love jumped out at me instantly as the absolute perfect shade for fall!

Generally, when I see new Limited Edition Wet N Wild releases online, I resign myself to the fact that they will never be available where I live and ordering them on eBay will take away that whole affordability draw away from the product. Sure, once or twice I've managed to track down a limited edition palette, but I haven't found any local stores that have them consistently. Cry. Anyway, I popped into my favorite (and sadly rarely visited) Rexall over the weekend and 'LO AND BEHOLD, they had the small display of these eye shadows and a mascara that never really pinged my radar. A part of me wanted to buy them all.... because I'm a sucker for both Limited Edition and Wet N Wild eyeshadows. Anyway, I reigned myself in and bought the two that really jumped out at me.
