SUBSCRIPTION: RAWSPICEBAR Beunos Aires Spice Box*

by - November 07, 2016

If you're a longtime reader of the blog, you may recall several months ago I did a review of the RawSpiceBar subscription service and I was really impressed with it. The basic premise of RawSpiceBar is that each month the curate a selection of 3 unique spice blends in a specific theme and includes recipes for each spice blend so that you can try out new recipes each month. Pretty cool, right? I got the chance to try another RawSpiceBar box and I was really excited to give it a go. To check out the RawSpiceBar Beunos Aires Spice Box*, keep reading!

The cool thing for me about the RawSpiceBar service is that it helps you to shake up your cooking routine. I find that I tend to get in a rut with recipes and end up making the same thing really consistently because it's familiar, I tend to have the ingredients on hand and easily available, and it can be hard to find good recipes out there. With this service, it takes the guess work out and provides you with the spice blends needed to create simple and delicious dishes at home!

Chipotle Smoked Salt
Recipe: Chipotle Salt Grilled Summer Vegetables

I mean... I don't know about you, but to me this sounds absolutely delicious, and more importantly it's super easy with vegetables and ingredients that are easy to find at the grocery store. I'm definitely looking forward to trying this out - though I am considering using something in the place of squash since it's not my personal favorite vegetable. Luckily, I really think that this recipe will be easily customized to my personal tastes.

Dark Coffee & Chiles
Recipe: Coffee-Chili Rubbed Steaks
Alternate Recipe: Dark Coffee & Chiles Beets

Another thing that I love about RawSpice Bar is that you can go onto their website and check out some alternate recipes for the spice blends they include. I was pretty interested in the Coffee-Chili Rubbed Steaks, but when I saw the recipes for the beets I pretty much decided instantly that I was going to try that one, because I have a pretty deep obsession with beets and I think those flavours sound really interesting together. I mean, the rich sweetness of the beets with the heat of the chili and the bitterness of coffee? Yes please! Another plus of this alternate recipe is that it does provide a meat-free option so that the vegetarians can get the most out of the box as well!

Sun Dried Tomato Pizza
Recipe: Sun Dried Tomato Pizza Sauce & Pizza Recipe
Alternate Recipe: Sun Dried Tomato Hummus

So... I'm not actually sure which of these I want to make, because both sound pretty much delicious to me. I'm leaning toward the pizza, because I love homemade pizza and I think that throwing a slightly different spin on it will be delicious, but I feel like pretty much anyone would be able to choose between these two options and choose something that they'd like to make.

Honestly, even though this isn't beauty related, I absolutely love subscription services and I think this is a great one. For $8US/month ($6US/month if you sign up for 12 months at once) you'll get a different trio of organic, vegan, gluten free, sugar free, paleo friendly spice blends along with recipes for how to use them! I feel like this is a pretty great value and can help to spice up your cooking every month. You can also gift a subscription, which I think is a great holiday idea for your foodie friends and family! If you're interested in trying out a 6 or 12 month subscription, use the code FLAVOR6 for $5 off!

I know I might sound a little bit like an infomercial in that pitch, but I really do think this is a great idea and have every intention of subscribing myself!

If you're interested in signing up, just head over to RawSpiceBar to get started!

Thanks for reading!
