SUBSCRIPTION: Julep Maven November 2017

by - November 09, 2017

I keep saying that I'm going to cancel my Julep subscription, but for some reason I just skip most months rather than actually cancelling. Can you blame me? Anyway, this month was kind of the perfect storm. One of my favorite all time products is from Julep and I was running out, so it was time to pick up another one, I had some points to spend to get some bonus items, and Winter Is Coming so keeping my hands and cuticles hydrated is topping my list right now. So, really, what I'm trying to say... is that I just couldn't resist!

Keep reading to see what I got!

As you can see, I went full stop with hand and nail hydration products and skipped over things that are probably more exciting like makeup and nail polish. I actually don't really like getting Julep nail polish anymore because, as much as I like a lot of them, the bottles are just really small and it doesn't end up being a good value. Also, these products were really what encouraged me to order at all, so there was never any chance that I was going to get pretty things when what I really needed was hydration things.

Julep Roll With It Essential Cuticle Oil
This is actually my favorite cuticle oil of life and my bottle is almost out, so it was time to re-up. Recently I've actually been trying quite a few different cuticle oils and creams in hopes that one would measure up to this one, specifically because I was running out, but as yet none of them have so I absolutely had to get my hands on another bottle of this. While the rollerball isn't necessarily my favorite way to apply cuticle oil, I'd pretty much be willing to apply this cuticle oil with my toes because I love it so much. It smells good, it really hydrates my cuticles deeply, and I don't need to apply it as frequently as other oils to get the same effect. So good, I love it!

Julep Your Cuticles Look Thirsty Fast Absorbing Cuticle Cream
This is a new product this month for Julep and actually really drew me in to decide to re-up on my Cuticle Oil this month instead of holding off until after Christmas. I wasn't really sure what to expect with it, but after trying it out a couple of times I'm absolutely thrilled that I ordered it. The texture on this cream is actually more like a balm that kind of melts into the skin. It's really easy to apply and I find that I don't need much. I just put a small dot of it at the base of my nail and then massage it in and it easily covers my whole cuticle. I feel like this is going to be a product that I'm going to use at night, since it's a little more intense than a cuticle oil, and I have a feeling I'm going to be obsessed with it this winter.

Julep Rock Star Hand Cream
The Rock Star Hand Cream seems like it's been around from Julep forever, but I'd actually only ever tried a small sample it of it until now. The reason I picked it up was actually because I had some Julep points that I wanted to use up and it seemed to make sense to pick up a hand cream since I was going hard with the cuticle products. As hand creams go, I think this is a really lovely one and I suspect that it's going to live on my nightstand for the foreseeable future so that I can just whack it on and massage it in while doing winter bingewatching. It's a solid hand cream for that purpose and it smells good too.

So, like I said... This isn't maybe the most exciting selection of products from Julep for most people, but I'm actually really excited about all of them personally. I'm trying to be more mindful of taking care of my nails - especially since I've been so into trying out different nail art and things lately, and I definitely got a rude awakening about how my nails react to cold weather this past weekend, so this was a very timely purchase.

Anyone reading this still a Julep Maven? I feel like they've gotten lost along the way - but there are definitely some products from the brand that still get used consistently in my life! Anyone else?

Thanks for reading!
