12 NAILS OF CHRISTMAS: Deep Green Classic Sweater Nail Art

by - December 20, 2019

One of my favorite holiday mani's since I got into nail art, and specifically into stamping, has been just a classic stamped Christmas sweater design. You can do a lot of different things with it, but for Day 9 of #12NailsOfChristmas, I decided to keep it simple and to the point with a rich winter green base and white stamping. I mean... I basically HAD to use Starrily's Everest* at some point this holiday season and it really provided an amazing and rich base for the nail art.

Without further ado, let's get into the nail art!

As I said, I started with two coats of Starrily - Everest* as my base. Honestly, I probably could have gotten away with only one coat since this polish is so absolutely stunning, but I really wanted to add some volume to the nails because I feel like it ends up looking better at the end of the day when you do that.

For the stamping, I went in with the Nicole Diary L13 Stamping Plate and Born Pretty Store White Stamping Polish. Just an aside, the Born Pretty Store White Stamping Polish is an absolutely gorgeous one and I highly, highly recommend it if you're looking for an affordable white stamping polish - I've used it in so many of these holiday mani's.  I used the same image for all of the nails but I alternated the direction that I stamped it so that it gives, I think, a little bit of more subtle interest.

Once that was completely dry - I definitely didn't want to smudge and because there were some larger areas of polish I gave it a little bit of extra time - I finished with a generous coat of Seche Vive Quick Dry Top Coat and voila!

As you can see, this is a really, really simple nail art look but I actually got several compliments while I was wearing it because it has a surprising amount of impact. These type of sweater nails were actually some of the first stamped nail designs that I ever did - very beginner friendly - and I still absolutely love how they look on the nails now. Definitely try these out!

Also, I honestly can't recommend Starrily polishes enough and Everest is one of those instant winter must have's for me. This bottle was gifted to me by NailStuff.ca and is available for purchase over there - along with a lot more absolutely stunning Starrily polishes. If you're interested in picking any of them up, I encourage you to use my affiliate code TRYSH for 10% off your order!

Be sure to check back tomorrow and through the weekend for the rest of my 12 Nails Of Christmas. I'll post the final mani on Monday!
