Being that it's the Monday before American Thanksgiving and I've already very much got Christmas nails on the brain, I decided today would be my last distinctly fall mani. And, of course, by fall I mean the pumpkin spice white girl version of fall. When I picked up the Uberchic Sweater Weather Stamping Plate, I knew I wanted to do some version of today's mani but I had actually intended on making it a little more intricate before deciding to keep it pretty simple. Simple, for me, can be pretty difficult to maintain, but I think I managed!

For the color story, I knew that I wanted to have a simple neutral base with a skittle full of different fall coloured pumpkins. For the pumpkin shades, I went with 4 different shades (repeating the pinkie shade on my thumb) that I felt fairly confident you could find in some kind of gourd. Kind of looks like the big bucket at the grocery store all full of various gourds, doesn't it?

For my base color, I went with a creamy beige nude crelly that's quite a bit lighter than my skin tone and features really pretty golden flakes through it. To start, I applied two coats of my case color and let those dry down completely before moving on to the stamping. 

Initially, I was just planning on applying the pumpkins at the tips of the nails, but in the end that felt like it would be a bit too bare. Instead, I decided to add this sort of swirling leaf image that I think sort of brings everything together. I shifted the placement on each nail just to break up the design a little bit. For the pumpkins, I started by applying the fill color to the tip of each nail, being sure to wrap it over the tip somewhat so as not to get gaps on the corners (for the most part), and then I went in with the outline image in black. 

Once I was happy with my design, I sealed everything in with a nail art top coat before finishing with a matte top coat to bring down the shine and smooth everything out.

While there were a few tiny issues with this mani that I would fix if it I did it again - I feel fairly confident that this particular nail art top coat and matte top coat don't play all that well together, actually - I really love how this mani turned out. To me, it feels quite simple and minimal while also being cute and very much on theme.
