For this design, I combined two of the most popular mani's I've ever posted together to create a sort of... super mani! Earlier this year, I posted this rainbow mani that quickly became one of the most popular designs I posted all year. So, of course, when it came time to start planning Halloween nail art, I had an inkling that I wanted to use that design as the base so I decided to mash it up with this design to create something new and I'm obsessed! I feel like this could almost be a sort of signature type of design, since it also employs my much loved opal base.

The base for this design is, without question, my sort of signature base. Essentially, I create an opal sort of a look by sandwiching an iridescent flakie topper between two layers of a sheer jelly polish. It ends up creating this stunning opal look that remains sheer while camouflaging any imperfections as well as your visible nail line and gives you these little hints of glow shining through. Love. 

For this mani, I used two polishes from Colores De Carol for this effect. Hazelnut is a gorgeous beige jelly that's quite pale and neutral in undertone (and is a bit of a new obsession for me) and Brilliance is a pretty densely packed rainbow flakie topper with a LOT of shine. Seriously, love this pairing.

For the design itself, I utilized both stamping and dry brushing to create the rainbow elements. First, I started by stamping a dry brush design using three colors per nail, carrying the outer colors to the next nail. Next, I went in with the same stamping polishes and just intensified the saturation just to make everything a bit more punchy. Finally, I went in with the spiderweb and bat stamping and applied those images to each nail in black. 

To finish, I sealed everything in with a no smudge top coat and finished with a generous layer of glossy top coat for shine and pop. And voila!
