Ok, it's official - I am ready to transition into spring nails. I usually jump the gun and get into them as soon as March hits and then by the time it's actually spring here where I am I'm basically all spring nails'd out. Does this even make sense? Anyway, when I sat down to do today's mani, my brain was definitely all up in spring ideas, but I also wanted to keep it fairly minimal (for me, anyway.) I actually really, really love how this mani turned out in the end and it definitely has me sort of whipped up to try some similarly thought out designs this spring.

When I was sitting down to plan how I was going to put together an entire month of Halloween themed nail art, one of the things I did was think about specific polishes from my collection that I wanted to pull out and feature. I feel like this many manis definitely requires some thoughtful choices in shades to really build it out and make it feel worthwhile and interesting. All of this is to say that I don't know what made my brain decide that the base polish for this mani absolutely had to get used and it very specifically had to get used in some sort of zombie mani, but it did so I made it happen.

Sometimes when I see a stamping plate, I have an immediate inspiration to do a very specific mani, and that's very much what happened with this mani. I've had my eye on KADS stamping plates for a while now, but I hadn't gotten around to picking any up until recently when I finally bit the bullet and ordered a few to try out. The one I was most excited to try out from this order was the NATURE 056 stamping plate, which has a sort of random assortment of images. One of them, though, was this sort of grungey chevron image that inspired me pretty much as soon as I saw it, and basically as soon as the package came this mani ended up on my nails.
