During the Halloween season, I always like to do these sorts of silhouetted skyline types of designs but I'd never really gone all in on one for Christmas, so I decided that this year had to be the year - and it didn't hurt that I'd just gotten my hands on the perfect stamping plate to fill out most of the design, in my opinion. This is definitely a more generally wintery design than a straight up Christmas design, but I like that - there are so many important holidays at this time of year that I really wanted to keep a lot of my designs from being full on Christmas.

I have to admit, I think I have a bit of a Halloween hangover when it comes to doing my nails - 12 mani's in one month is a looooot, especially when I also did some swatching for posts that are coming up soon here on the blog, so even sitting down to do my nails at this point is feeling like a little much.  Luckily, our #CBBxManiMonday theme for this month is Whatever November - I think we all need a little bit of freedom to just do whatever we feel like on our nails this month before it's time to get fully back into themed nails. So, of course, as soon as I saw the brand spankin' Halo Jewels Collection for Fall 2020, I was intrigued, but once I saw the rich, holographic shades in person there was absolutely no question that it was coming home with me and I was getting it on my nails immediately. I think a lot of people will be really excited by this launch, so I really wanted to get my review and swatches out there right away.

One of the first sets of stamping plates that I picked up when I was determined to try out stamping for the first time was the Maniology (then Bundle Monster) Festival Plates set and it's a set that I inevitably end up pulling out every summer because there are just so many great images that I can use to pull together a mani. I actually hadn't chosen what I was going to stamp with when I did the gradient base for this mani using two STUNNING holo polishes that were gifted to me from NailStuff.ca, but as soon as I had the gradient applied I knew exactly what I needed to reach for.
