REVIEW: Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Body Lotion*

I am terrible at consistently applying body lotion, I admit it. I tend to hate applying lotion to wet skin after the shower, which is exactly when I need it, and I oftentimes will just skip it, get dressed, and go about my business. As such, my skin feels like it has been a little bit neglected over the years, especially when winter rolls around and the dry air and cold temps do a number on my skin. I feel like I've been talking ad nauseum about winter skin recently, but us Canadian girls know that the struggle is real. Winter rolls around and it's time to up your water intake and be a little more diligent about applying moisture to the skin. I have to tell you, this lotion makes that diligence a lot easier for me to stomach and my skin is loving me at the moment because of it.

This stuff is thick and emollient, but it doesn't feel heavy or greasy on the skin. Instead, it sinks in quickly as you smooth it over your body and instantly hits you with the kind of deep moisture that winter skin needs, leaving your skin silky soft and smooth pretty much instantly. I love to apply this pretty much neck to toes after I shower before bed, so that I wake up in the morning with smooth, moisturized skin. Best part? This moisturized feeling to the skin absolutely lasts. We're not talking about 8 or 12 hours here, we're talking enduring moisture that could seriously last shower to shower with no problem.
Can we just talk about the scent of this lotion for a second? It smells like chocolate chip cookie dough. We're not talking a vague baked goods scent, we are talking legit cookie dough deliciousness that lingers on the skin and just. smells. amazing. If that's not your thing, you probably won't be into this, but if you can get down with cookie dough deliciousness, you need to give this a try. I mean. You really do.
Overall, if you hadn't noticed, I'm pretty much obsessed with this stuff. We're talking ride or die game changer status over here. I haven't used any other body lotion since I started using this, I've recommended it to a friend who picked it up that day and loves it as well, and I will definitely be repurchasing this when I get through the bottle. Honestly, I've never really been here nor there about a body lotion before, but I am a HUGE fan because this is just a great, straightforward product that gets the job done better than anything I've tried before it and smells delicious to boot.
