CBB GUEST POST: Angela from Do Want Makep

by - February 19, 2015

Hi everyone! I'm Angela from over at dowantmakeup.ca, guest posting today here on Prairie Beauty Loves as part of the CBB's February Guest Post round-up. This month's theme is, of course, red, white, and/or pink. It wasn't required to use all three colours in the post, but I ended up working them in for some nail art that is as sugary-sweet as the post-Valentine's Day-sale candy we're probably all enjoying right now!

This far into February, I'm sure a lot of you are totally on hearts- and pink- overload, but I just couldn't resist doing some super girly, conventionally-Valentine's Day nails. I used China Glaze Ruby Pumps for the little finger and one lonely heart on the index finger, Clinique Pinkini for the ring finger base and striping, ELF Smokin' Hot for the small red hearts, and OPI Alpine Snow for the white base and heart.

An easy way to do hearts is to use a dotting tool to create two dots next to each other and connect them by drawing a V. I always, always underestimate how big my dots will come out, so the heart print is a little larger than I originally planned. Speaking of which, the longer I look at these nails, the more I'm craving cinnamon hearts. Does anybody else out there love those things? Thanks for having me on your blog, Trysh! I hope you guys enjoyed my red, pink, and white nail look!
