BIRTHDAY BEAUTY WISHLIST!

by - August 20, 2015

I am definitely old enough at this point that birthdays are not the celebration that they once were. Still, my birthday is a time when I get to sit down at my computer and do a little fantasy shop so that I can give the people who buy me gifts some ideas of what I want. Unfortunately, my birthday falls shortly before all of the holiday palettes get released at Sephora, but that doesn't mean that I can't make a pretty epic wish list of things that I've been coveting for my collection.

If you're interested in taking a look at what I'm crossing my fingers for as gifts for my birthday - or more likely planning on buying with the gift cards that I'll inevitably get from friends and family, keep reading!

PALETTES & SETS
You have to have some palettes and sets in every wishlist... And by you, I clearly mean me. Surprisingly, since all of the holidays palettes I'm already lusting after aren't out yet, I actually didn't find too many that I really wanted.... which isn't actually a bad thing since I'm going to have to restrain myself from going into the poor house this holiday season.

Smashbox Try It Kit
Honestly, I really just want to try out the eyeshadow primer since I've heard amazing things about it and the rest of the kit is really just a bonus. That said, the little eyeshadow trio would be perfect for brief travel or to keep in my desk at work for days when I'm too lazy to makeup before my on-the-way-to-work Starbucks run.
Make Up Forever Artist Palette Volume 2
This palette is definitely outside of my usual wheelhouse, but that's actually why I want it. I would love to have some really high quality shadows in my collection for pops of colour. I have a pretty major collection of high end neutral shadows, but my collection of brights is pretty lacking. Also... This palette is gorgeous, are you kidding??
Becca Ombre Rouge Eye Palette
Do I need more neutral shadows? Nope. I do not. Do I really, really, really want this palette? Yes. I can't remember where I saw this used in a tutorial on Youtube, but I did and it looked so gorgeous that I instantly wanted it in my collection. My body is ready. Ahem.

FACE PRODUCTS

Face products have kinda been my jam for the past few months. I've gotten firmly onto the bronzer and highlighter train, which is not a form of transportation that I used to take often. (Yep, took the metaphor too far!) Now, since my collection of these types of products is actually quite limited, I clearly need to go mad with power. Right?

Hourglass Ambient Bronzer in Luminous Bronze Light
It's actually pretty much a miracle that I haven't already picked this up - You guys know how much I love my Ambient face products. I'm still deciding if I'm going to pick up the 6 pan holiday palette for this year, but I actually don't think I'm going to since I've heard the pans are quite small and it's going to be very expensive... SO GIMME THE BRONZER NOW! Ahem.
Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Powder in Highlight 01
This is another product that I've heard a lot of great things about and I really want in my life on those recommendations. I suspect it will be light enough for my skin and I also suspect that it'll be absolutely freakin' gorgeous.
Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Moonstone
This is another one that I really SHOULD have by now... but I don't and I want it real bad. Whatever happens, this is going to be in my collection by the end of 2015 - I vow! Seriously, when it comes to highlight I'm really starting to learn that there's nothing like high end and these are some of the prettiest.

I want pretty much every blush ever. Just saying. My blush collection just keeps growing and I just want more and more. I clearly will not be satisfied until I have ever shade and finish in the land. So. Never. Anyway. Onto the top 3 blushes that I want in my collection right now...

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush in Blushing Bride
How pretty is this shade? I love it. I'm a huge fan of these blushes and I've been wanting more in my collection for a while and this one definitely tops the list of the ones I want.
Becca Mineral Blush in Wild Honey
This is another one of those hyped products that I feel would get a lot of use in my collection. It's quite neutral, so I think I could wear it with a lot of things. But really... I would like ALL of the Becca blushes, please and thanks!
Clinique Cheek Pop Blush in Nude Pop
This is another product that will absolutely be in my collection by the end of the year. I've swatched this too much times to count and I've also almost bought it multiple times. Don't actually know why I haven't, but it's going to happen soon enough. So pretty. So easy. So perfect.

LIP PRODUCTS

You guys know how much I love my lippies. Admittedly, I don't wear them as often as I probably should and I really shouldn't keep adding to my collection... but there's just so many great formulas out there that I never can seem to help myself! Good excuses, right?

Too Faced Melted Liquified Longwear Lipstick in Melted Chihuahua
I mean... The name is weird as hell, right? But I've been wanting to try this particularly shade of this product ever since it was released and it ranks pretty high on my list of lip products that I need in my collection. And it will happen. Oh yes, it will happen. By the end of 2015? Likely.
Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Patina
This is a super hyped product and since it fits so perfectly into the colour range that I've been pretty much obsessed with recently, I feel like it's one that I should definitely own. Right? I would be more than happy to get this one as a gift!
Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lovesick
I have one of these in an insane neon pink shade that I've literally only worn once - on Halloween. However, the formula is pretty much insane. I found it really comfortable and so long wearing that it bordered on annoying. Well, when I tried to take it off, it didn't just border on annoying. But that's a good thing for long fall days, right?

Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipstick in Cathedral
This shade is pretty much a cult shade in Kat Von D's line and, really, it makes perfect sense to me. I feel like this would become and instant staple in my collection because it's insanely wearable and could go with pretty much anything. Also, I really just want that bullet in my bag with me everywhere I go.
BITE Beauty Butter Cream Lipstick in Pecan
It's pretty much a miracle that I haven't bought any of these Butter Cream lipsticks yet, but that is going to need to be remedied soon. I have no doubt that this is going to be a beautiful formula and another really wearable lipstick that will get a lot of use in my life.
BITE Beauty Luminous Cream Lipstick in Shiraz
This is probably my favorite lipstick formula of the past year, so it can't surprise anyone that I want more shades. Staying with the wearable theme, I really want Shiraz in my collection because I feel like it'll get a lot of wear. When it comes to high end lipsticks, I want the ones that are going to ride or die.

SKIN CARE

Not gonna lie, all of these picks are 100% because of their recommendation by Caroline Hirons, who is pretty much my Skin Care Goddess these days. All three of these products come highly recommended to her and so I absolutely have to have them!

Sunday Riley Good Genes Treatment
This is actually the product that led me to Caroline Hirons, after I saw it on a Youtube channel and the person talking about it mentioned that it had come on recommendation from Caroline. It's spendy, but I've heard amazing things about the results, and I really don't mind spending when it comes to great skin care.
First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads
I'm finding that using an acid toner works really well for my skin and I've heard that these are very gently but also effective, which is why they're a must try for me at the moment. These will definitely be in my life by the end of 2015.
Tata Harper Reparative Cleanser
I've heard amazing things about Tata Harper all around, but especially about the cleansers. For me, cleansing is becoming more and more important as I really recognize how much effect the type of cleanser I use has on my skin. Again, this is spendy for a cleanser, but I'm willing to lay down for it.

K-BEAUTY

Oh how I do love my K-Beauty items. When I was thinking about doing this wishlist, I did most of my fantasy shopping (as you can see above) on the Sephora website, but I couldn't stop there and I had to head over to RoseRoseShop and grab my favorite picks from there.

Skin Food Sugar Cookie Blush in Bebe Lavender
I've wanted a lavender blush for a while and I feel like K-Beauty brands were the first to do them, since they love that really youthful, glowing look to the skin. I really enjoy products from Skin Food and I think this blush would be a great addition to my collection.
Nature Republic Shine Blossom Blusher in Pink Blossom
Can we just look at that picture and talk about the pretty? I feel like this shade would be perfect for fall and would look really natural and gorgeous on my skin. Toot toot! Anyway, I actually really love what I've tried from Nature Republic as well, so this is definitely a desire.
Skin Food Mineral Sugar Triple Shadow in Plum Brown
I hadn't actually intended on picking out any eyeshadows from RoseRoseShop, but then I saw this little trio from Skin Food and I felt like I had to have it. These shades are just so beautiful and very much in the wheelhouse of what I like to wear every day. Yes please.
Etude House My Beauty Tool Secret Brush 121 Skin
I've been wanting this brush from Etude House since the first time I saw it, but especially after I saw a review of it from a blogger whom I trust very highly. This is a face brush and I love that it's so different from anything else I have in my collection. Want. So bad. Will have by the end of 2015.
Innisfree Water Glow Cushion
Another thing I've really wanted for quite some time is a cushion compact and I feel like this one from Innisfree is a really good choice. I love the idea of a cushion compact and I can't wait to try one out for myself - without spending Lancome money on my first try, just in case it isn't for me.
Mizon Snail Repair EX Ampoule
I've heard a lot of buzz about Mizon Snail products and I've been looking to try out a new snail serum, so this seems like the right choice at the right time. In the past, snail serums have worked really well for me, but I haven't had one on the go in a while, so bring on the Mizon!

So there you have it! My beauty wishlist at the moment - all of which I'd be more than happy to open when my birthday comes, and some of which will inevitably be purchased with gift cards or birthday cash this year!
