If you've read this blog for a while, you know that one of my personal biggest skin care concerns is maintaining hydration. Particularly in the colder months, my skin tends to get quite dry if I'm not careful to really make sure that I'm using products that deeply hydrate my skin, which leads to a whole host of other issues such as sensitivity and discomfort. Recently, as a member of Glamsense, I got the opportunity to test out the new Lise Watier Hydraforce Hydra-Protective Comforting Creme*, and they even sent along a really cool gadget that you can use to test the moisture levels in your skin.

If you're interested in hearing about my experience with this product, as well as seeing the hydration results after using it, keep reading!

ABOUT:
The formula’s effectiveness lies on the remarkable power of Gaspé Algae Extract. A survivor of harsh environments, the Gaspé algae has developed a highly efficient resistance system, enabling it to thrive in severe conditions. Its extract guarantees the skin’s global hydration, transforming it into a veritable defensive shield.

This moisturizer has a light, fresh scent to it that I really enjoy when applying the product. It's not too intense and it definitely goes away once the product is applied to the skin, but it is present and I definitely feel like that bears mentioning, since that can be something of a deal breaker for some people.

The texture of this moisturizer is much lighter and thinner than I was expecting, but it still manages to pack a really good punch of hydration when applied. I find that it spreads really easily over the skin and a little bit goes quite a long way. It sinks into the skin really quickly, leaving your skin feeling silky without any stickiness or residue after only a few minutes, which is definitely a big plus in my book.

The results of the moisture test on my Hand, T-Zone, and Cheek before applying the product.
Using the gadget that they included as well as an app that's available for smart phones, I was able to test the moisture levels of my skin before and after. I was somewhat surprised to find that my skin actually did fall into the hydrated zone before applying the product. I suppose that since the seasons are changing and the air isn't so dry, all of the pampering I do to my skin is doing it's work. Either way, I definitely felt like I could amp up the hydration over all three areas of my skin.

I applied the product to the back of my hand and all over my face and let the product soak in for 5-10 minutes before I tested the hydration in my skin again, and as you can see there was a pretty dramatic increase in the moisture levels. Of course, I also wanted to feel the difference in how my skin felt after applying the product, and I definitely think this is pretty accurate as far as I can tell.

I've been using this consistently for a couple of weeks now and my skin is absolutely loving it. I tend to use this as my nighttime moisturizer, but I do think that because it's so light and sinks in so quickly it could be fantastic during the day. I find that when I use this, I wake up with skin that feels and looks deeply hydrated. It's not an anti-aging product, but I do think it gives my skin a really plump, youthful look that tends to get lost when my skin gets dry. I think this might be too hydrating for someone with really oily skin, so I would recommend looking into the Lise Watier HydraForce Hydra-Protective Creme Gel if you don't skew normal to oily.

I definitely enjoy this product and I would give it my recommendation. I'm looking forward to trying out more products from the Lise Watier HydraForce line!

Thanks for reading!
