One of the best ways for me to ensure that I'm going to actually get my boyfriend to wear sunscreen is to have a spray version on hand, because while I'm completely fine with the time it takes to rub in a lotion, he definitely prefers the convenience of a spray, so that's pretty much the biggest win for this particular sunscreen.
One thing that I have heard about sprays is that in order for them to be effective, you have to make sure that you're applying enough - as far as I'm concerned, more is more when it comes to sunscreen so make sure you load it on to get the most out of it. To get the most out of the SPF of this product, spray heavily and then spread around with your hands to make sure you have a good coat on your skin and don't miss any spots. Also, with pretty much all sunscreens you're going to need to reapply. Don't go to the beach and only put sunscreen on first thing, make sure you're reapplying throughout the day to ensure completely protection.
The two things that struck me the first time I tried out this product are definitely the texture and the scent. I absolutely love the way it smells both when I first apply and once it's been on my skin. It's not an overwhelming scent, but it's really pleasant and a little different from your typical sunscreen type scent. The texture is the real winner though. It applies really lightly and once it dries it really doesn't feel like you have anything on your skin, but it does leave that slight sheen to the skin that looks nice and healthy.
The first time I tried this (as you can see in the photos) was on a very bright, sunny day on the beach, and it did a great job protecting my skin from the sun. I was in the water and I made sure to reapply once I was out of the water and back on the beach, which is what I always do just because I feel like even water resistant sunscreens need reapplication. After all of that time in the hot sun, I didn't burn and could really only see the slightest bit of tan, so I'd say this did it's job.
Because the scent and texture on this are so great, I think this is actually going to be a go to for day to day body sunscreen. I've been feeling more and more like I need to be better about that, because I do tend to forget just how much sun I get when I'm just out living my life, and I want to actively protect my skin. This is great for that because it does dry to a matte finish and the scent is light and doesn't have that distinct sunscreen scent.
