BEAUTY WISHLIST: Fall 2016
I really, really like putting together wishlists here on the blog. Not only because I really like fantasy online shopping - which I absolutely love and have absolutely no shame about - but because I like to feature new or exciting products that I don't necessarily have in my possession yet. Because I'm on a budget, like most people, I can't shop for makeup as much as I'd like to, but there are always products that catch my eye and I get excited about. ANYWAY, I put together a list of products that I've got my eye on right now! I've got some holiday kits in here as well as some permanent products!
Keep reading to check out what I'm lusting after!
tarte Amazonian Clay Blush Palette Color Wheel
Um. So. Tarte just went ahead and kicked the ass of their previous holiday blush palettes by releasing this little beauty. 10 blushes - all of which look absolutely gorgeous - at a price tag that is less than 2 full sized blushes? Each of these blushes is just under half the size of a full size... which I think is a great amount of product for a palette like this one. I mean. Yes, please. I don't actually know why I haven't ordered this yet, because I know it isn't going to last that long and I'm going to regret the hell out of it if I don't... but I'm trying to be prudent.
Clinique Cheek Pop in Black Honey
The Clinique Cheek Pop formula is probably one of my favorite blush formulas ever and the two that I have get a lot of play, but there's something about Black Honey that is just calling out to me. After seeing swatches I think this is one of those blushes that you could wear quite sheer and get a really pretty winter flush, or you could build up for more impact on deeper skintones. Clearly, my pale face would require the first. Anyway, this is gorgeous and I want it in my collection real bad.
Marc Jacobs Object of Desire Face and Eye Palette
So I don't actually own any Marc Jacobs shadows yet because... Well, they're expensive AF and I've not yet felt like there was anything I absolutely had to have. The 20 pan eyeshadow palette for this holiday season was pretty, but it just didn't seem like something I needed to spend over $100 on. This palette has less shadows, but the shades are gorgeous and it includes face products and the price point is quite a bit lower. Still expensive, but lower. I could definitely get down with this one!
Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette
I NEED THIS. I've honestly been stalking the Sephora website waiting for this to restock and kicking myself for not ordering it as soon as it launched, because it's stunning and I know I would pretty much wear it constantly. While I've never been particularly drawn to ABH palettes in the past, this one is just so gorgeous and unique and yet still very wearable that I need it in my life. Like right now. I heard it's restocking this month!
Kat Von D Everlasting Mini Liquid Lipstick Set
How pretty does this spectrum of colours look? Granted, there are a couple of shades in there that I don't think I would get a ton of wear out of, but they'd be fun to have in my collection and I really do love the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick formula. I've actually put this in my cart a couple of times since it launched, but honestly I don't think I'm going to buy it. I'm going to be good on this one... but I want it!
Stila Stay All Day Sparkle All Night Set
This one, however, I do think I'm going to buy. I actually got one of the holiday sets of the Stay All Day Liquid Lipsticks last year and I absolutely love it, so I had been waiting for them to announce what they had this year and this set just jumped out at me. The shades are gorgeous and wearable, it has a sparkly top coat that I suspect I wouldn't really wear, but you never know, and the price point is really good, in my opinion. These liquid lipsticks probably aren't for everyone, but I actually really enjoy this formula a lot.
Tata Harper Detox Defense Set
I've been wanting to try out some Tata Harper products for quite some time, but I've never gotten around to it because I'm consistently testing things out for the blog. That said, after hearing raves on their cleansers from Caroline Hirons, I'm dying to thry them and I think this set is actually a really great value for trying out a few products and getting a feel for the line. It's also less of an investment than full size products because I am so frequently testing things for here on the blog.
Sunday Riley Power Couple Duo: Total Transformation Kit
Sunday Riley is another line that I'm dying to try because of raves by Caroline Hirons. This set really appeals to me because you get two of the products I've really wanted to try in smaller sizes so I could again try them out without the commitment and investment of buying full size. I have a feeling that these are products that I would fall in love with, just because I've heard such good things and they're right up my alley as far as formulation goes, but I'm good with that. Just need to try them out first!
So there you have it... A brief list of things that I'm lusting after this holiday season. There are a LOT of holiday palettes and sets out right now, but I'm actually finding myself less interested in them than previous years because a lot of them just feel like the same old thing over and over again. I don't know.
I'd love to hear what you guys think of this year's holiday collections in the comments! Also, what's on your wish list at the moment?
Thanks for reading!
