REVIEW: Arbonne Seasource Detox Spa Sea Mud Face & Body Mask

by - February 24, 2017

I'm pretty much always down to try a mask, I really am. Because, at this point, I've tried so many I feel like I've really sort of zeroed in on what really makes a great mask for me. Honestly, I don't use face masks as a long term skin care solution. For me, it's all about immediate results and dealing with issues as they're happening. Whether my skin is dry, irritated, or breaking out, I feel like I've got different masks in the arsenal that help me with those issues. Recently, I've had the chance to try out the Arbonne Seasource Detox Spa Sea Mud Face & Body Mask* and I've definitely got some thoughts!

About:
The art of the mud mask has been perfected. Cleanse and draw out impurities from the skin’s surface, helping prevent clogged pores. With natural marine botanicals, the formula helps skin feel smooth, hydrated, firm and invigorated — simply glowing.

First off, I want to tell you how I actually use the mask. I like to apply a clay or mud mask with a flat foundation brush, because I feel like I can apply an even layer with a good amount of precision with a brush much easier than I can with my fingers. I then like to go about my business for no longer than the recommended time on the product, in this case 10-15 minutes. I then remove the mask using a warm wash cloth, because I feel like I can really get in there and get all the traces of the mask off. I finish with a light splash of warm water to make sure everything is rinsed clean.

While wearing this mask, I find that my skin feels really cool - which I love! The cooling sensation is really comfortable and soothing and lasts for the duration of the time I wear the mask. The reason I love the cooling sensation is twofold. First, whether it's true or not, it really makes it feel like it's doing something. And second, it feels calming on my skin when it may be feeling irritated.

My favorite thing about this mask, I think, is how incredibly clean my skin but still hydrated my skin feels when I wash it off. Honestly, I've got no patience for a clay or mud mask that's drying anymore, because there are options like this one that give me that really clean feeling without stripping my skin. I reached for this a couple of times this week after breaking out from a product I was trying and I felt like it, as a part of my overall skin care routine, really helped me to clear up that breakout.

At $50, this mask is a bit of a spend, but I think at 8oz of product, it's really worth it - especially if you're like me and mostly are going to use it specifically on your face. I think this bottle is going to last me forever! This definitely gets a thumbs up from me!
