HAUL: Colourpop Eyes & Lips Haul

by - March 07, 2017

As much as I'd like to, I don't order from Colourpop often - but I do suspect that now that they offer free International shipping at orders over $50USD I will likely be ordering a little bit more often. My experience with Colourpop has actually been overwhelmingly positive, generally, and I still reach for a few of their Super Shock shadows really, really consistently. So of course, when I had the opportunity to ship orders to a family friend's US condo and have my dad bring them back for me after a holiday, I had to take the opportunity to pick up a few things. Right? I had no choice in the matter!

Anyway, keep reading to take a look at what I picked up!

Mmm, pretty makeup things... Does anyone else find it extra exciting to get products that aren't easily available locally? Like, I find myself gazing at them like I found the holy grail or something. ... I'm a weirdo.

Colourpop Pressed Eyeshadows in Pep Talk, Made To Last, Pinky Promise, & Going Steady

I'll admit that I watched a few Youtube videos to decide which shades I wanted to pick up from the new Pressed Powders line that Colourpop has more recently released. I'd heard good things, but I still wanted to only grab four for the moment to see how I feel about them. I chose a distinctly berry colour palette, which a bright lid shade and a more neutral crease shade, and I actually kind of love how they all fit together. Look for a review of these products coming soon!

Alexis Ren x Colourpop Ultra Satin Lip in Bare Necessities

I was actually really tempted to pick up the whole Alexis Ren collection, because it's so hot right now, but I decided to just go with the peachy nude Ultra Satin Lip because it was the most up my alley and I thought it would be great for spring. I'm not entirely sure how much I love this shade on me now that I have it in my hands, but I suspect that probably has more to do with my pasty winter skin than the shade itself.

Colourpop Ultra Satin Lip in Lost

I've been saying that I'm going to order a red shade in the Ultra Satin Lip for a while, and I finally went through with it. AND THIS SHADE IS GLORIOUS. There's some brown base to this red and it definitely skews deeper in tone, which makes it right up my alley and kind of bomb with my pale skin. This could end up being a staple for me, I think. OBSESSION. Look for lip swatches over on Instagram coming soon!

Colourpop Lippie Pencil in Bichette

Another thing I've always wanted to pick up are some of the Colourpop Lippie Pencils, because I've heard such good things about them and I love the wide shade selection. My first impression is... GIMME ALL THE LIPPIE PENCILS. I'm definitely going to have to order more, because this one is so creamy and pigmented and gorgeous and I officially believe everything I've heard about them from Youtubers in the past. Love. This shade also pairs pretty much perfectly with Lost, which is convenient!

Like I said, I will go more in depth with how I like these products in a future blog or social media post, so keep an eye out! There will definitely be a review of the Pressed Shadows to come!
