I think I'm officially a serum junkie. More and more over the past few years, I've realized that if I really want to see the results I want from my skin care, I have to be consistent about using good serums that give me the results I'm looking for. Recently, I've been trying out the Neal's Yard Remedies Frankincense Intense Lift Serum*, which is brand new this month from the brand!

In May, 2017, Neal’s Yard Remedies will launch Frankincense Intense Lift Serum, an ethically sourced, organic serum clinically proven to help you stress less by promoting a sense of relaxation and wellbeing through the ancient power of frankincense essential oil. Developed by scientists, it is proven to visibly lift and recontour the skin while preventing the breakdown of collagen and stimulating elastin production.

This serum comes packaged in a glass bottle with a dropper style packaging, which isn't my personal favorite and I definitely would have preferred and airless pump style packaging. I think the packaging really is my one grip with this, because the dropper can make it difficult sometimes to get the amount of product that I want. That said, this isn't a huge deal and wouldn't be a deal breaker for me. 

The texture of this serum is a slightly thick, milky consistency and I find that it smooths onto the skin very easily. While I've used this as a part of both my morning and evening skin care routines, where this really shines for me is in the morning. I find that this really gives and instant tightening effect on the skin and works really well under makeup. For someone with dry skin, that tightened feeling might not be entirely comfortable, but I don't find this to be drying on my skin at all. Definitely follow with a good day cream and I think you'll be good to go. 

I'll admit that I don't really have time in the morning to enjoy the aromatherapy benefit of relaxation when I apply this, but I do find that I really like the scent of the frankincense essential oil and have every intention of trying to spend a few seconds inhaling this when I apply and see how much brain likes it. It has that earthly, herbal scent that is vaguely medicinal as you're applying it, but I don't find that it lingers on the skin at all once the product has sunk into the skin. 

Overall, I really like this serum and I've definitely seen the lifting that it promised - and with immediate results! I've been using this for about a month now and I definitely feel like in the longterm the overall condition of my skin is really good when using this. Specifically, in the past week or so I've found that my makeup application has been looking really smooth and flawless - which is a big deal for me, since texture is my biggest skin issue.
