REVIEW: NIVEA Q10 Firming Body Oil

by - July 10, 2017

There are a few Nivea products in my arsenal that I essentially can't be without - like the Nivea Essential Lip Balm and the Nivea Smooth Replenishing Hand Cream, which are both absolute holy grail products for me - so I'm always happy to try out new things from the brand. Recently, thanks to Influenster, I got to try out the Nivea Q10 Firming Body Oil*, which claims to reduce the appearance of stretch marks, even skin tone, hydrate, and leave skin feeling firmer in two weeks. Not bad claims, right?

I'm not sure what I was expecting from the scent of this product, but I have to admit I was a a little bit surprised. It's a light, fresh scent that has a hint of that classic Nivea scent that's present but not at the forefront. When it came to the packaging, I was initially a little bit concerned that it didn't have a pump and that I would make a mess, but the cap makes it easy to pour gently so that you just get as much as you need.

I'm used to using dry body oil, so the texture of this was a little bit of a surprise for me. While it's definitely not greasy, this does have a much richer texture than what I'm used to. It takes a little bit longer to apply than a dry oil, but I actually like that because I like the feel of massaging it into the skin. When I'm finished, I find my skin looks glowy and feels smooth and healthy. I'm not sure about overall firming effects, but I think the combination of anti-aging ingredients and the massaging action to actually apply the product definitely can have the effect of making the skin look and feel tighter.

Overall, I'm really happy with this product. I think the biggest thing for me is that applying product to hydrate my skin all over my body can be really annoying, but because I really enjoy the act of applying this and it feels like a bit of a pamper I'm a lot more likely to actually use it. I'm not sure this will hit the status of my Nivea lip balm and hand cream, but I definitely enjoy it and am going to keep using it!
