REVIEW: Leaders Mediu Baby Soft Foot Peeling Mask

by - January 25, 2018

I feel like I'm a little bit behind on the foot peeling mask trend that was all over social media a while back. Partially that's because the pictures were vaguely terrifying, but mostly it's just because it was hard to get my hands on one in person and I'm not much for ordering this type of thing online. Recently, though, I saw the Leaders Mediu Baby Soft Foot Peeling Mask at my local Superstore and I just had to try it. My feet are sort of my forever pain, particularly in the winter, so I was really hopeful that this would get the job done.

To see how this worked for me, keep reading! Be warned - there is a gross picture of my feet. Apologies!

I did a little bit of research on how to use these types of mask online before I did this since the instructions are in Korean. Basically what I learned was that you should give you feet a good soak before you apply the mask, wear it for about an hour to an hour and a half, and then rinse and pat dry your feet when you're finished. So basically I decided to have a nice hot bath and then put these on while watching a movie.

Wearing them was actually pretty nice. You can walk around in them, but I highly recommend that you just kick back and just enjoy relaxing while you're doing them. I didn't have any irritation or discomfort while I was wearing them and they weren't overly squishy or weird feeling on my feet either. Initially after removing them, there was really no change to my feet, although they did feel pretty soft.

Another thing I learned from the internet is that these are going to work best if you soak your feet daily - which is just another excuse to lay in a hot bath, in my opinion - so I took advantage of that and soaked them every day in the tub. I also avoided using any lotions or creams on my feet because I knew that could ultimately make my results less significant.

Here's how the week went:

Day 1: Feet looked and felt quite dry and it was difficult to resist putting on some lotion. No peeling yet though.
Day 2: Soaked my feet in the tub and they looked pretty gross when I got out. No peeling, but they looked quite flaky and dry. My cracked heels looked absolutely horrifying. In my notes I was keeping over this week I wrote, "Seriously, my feet have never looked this dry and gross."
Day 3: Soaked my feet again. They looked even more dry and gross and haggard than Day 2. Ewwwww.
Day 4: This is the day it started looking up a little. I started to see minor peeling and though my feet still looked extra dry and cracked, it looked less like I had died 3 weeks ago, so I was calling it a win.
Day 5 & 6: This is when the peeling really started, but slowly. I could see the peeling starting mostly around my ankles and toes, with the rest of my feet still looking quite dry and gross. I could tell the peeling was really about the start happening though.
Day 7: This is when my feel really peeled. It wasn't quite like the photos I saw online with big, thick sheets of skin coming off. In my socks, I definitely noticed significant flaking at the end of the day and after a soak, my skin really started peeling off and revealing really, really soft skin underneath. I gently exfoliated my feet after the soak and most of the peeling skin came off, though I did see some minor flaking continuing for a couple of days after that.

This photo was taken on Day 5 and it grosses me out.
You can see really smooth skin peeking out from where the skin was peeling though.

Overall, I have to say I'm really happy with the results. This didn't deal with the really cracked skin at the very end of my heel that I struggle with the most - any recommendations for products that can tackle that would be appreciated! - but overall my feet really felt amazing after the peeling had finished. I actually feel like I'm going to do another one of these masks within the next couple of weeks to see if a second treatment will do more for the most problematic parts of my feet.

All in all, I would recommend the Leaders Mediu Baby Soft Foot Peeling Mask. I think it was gentle enough that pretty much anyone can use it and I think the results, while not as shocking and significant as some of what I've seen online, were solid and did what they promised. If you have problematic feet like me, you're not going to find that this completely peels down to perfect baby skin, but it will definitely make a difference.

I will update this post if the results of my second go at this mask are different! Thanks for reading!
