MANI MONDAY: Cute & Creepy Ghost Nails

by - October 08, 2018

Happy Thanksgiving, fellow Canadians! It occurs to me as I write this that it probably would have been a good idea to go with something pumpkin for today's mani, but alas it's too late to go back and change it. I actually had something entirely different in mind for today's mani, but with a whole lot of socializing going on this weekend for the holiday, time just sort of got away from me and I decided to keep it simple with some cute ghost stamping over a pretty, simple holo base!

Keep reading for a closer to look and to find out how I got this look!

For this mani, I wanted to go with a silvery holo because I felt like it paired well with the ghosts, but I wanted a little bit of interest so I started with two coats of Color Club What's Your Sign, which is a silvery linear holo with a rosy flash to it. I wanted to bump up the holo just a little so I followed with a coat of Essence We Will Spock You. I like this pairing because that rosy flash still shows through, but you get the little bump up of the scattered holo as well.

For the stamping, I decided to go with the BornPrettyStore L-099 stamping plate for the ghostly elements. For my accent nail, I went with this super cute clustered ghost image, which I just seriously find adorable. For my middle nail, I kept it simple with the BOO! image. For my first and last nails, I wanted something that was going to be really sleek, but fitting with the theme, so I grabbed the Hehe 029 Harry Potter stamping plate and chose the wavy lines image for those two nails.

I finished with a nice thick coat of Seche Vive and voila - Halloween nails!

Like last week, I know this is a little bit simple with just a base and stamping, but I promise you there are more intricate nail art plans coming up - time just keeps getting away from me. Keep tuned for the rest of this month for more Halloween nail art and I promise to bring something a little bit more intense.

Be sure to also check out what Jayne, Renee, and Eithne have going on this week as well - we're going strong with the Halloween theme for our #CBBxManiMonday's for all of October!

Thanks for reading!
