I'm not gonna lie - my brain is absolutely LOVING having a theme again. As soon as I transitioned into thinking about doing Valentine's Day nails, my brain immediately had about a million ideas and a lot of energy and desire to get them done. I just love a theme - it gives my brain something to latch onto. For this mani I also used a new-to-me stamping plate from Hit The Bottle that I've been dying to use since I got it months ago and a super pretty new gel polish from Born Pretty. All in all, I'm super excited about this mani!

Now, I will say, I was having very, very cold hands when I did this mani and when I photographed it, so I couldn't actually get the thermal shift to show up, but Born Pretty 56989-13* is a thermal polish that is white in it's warm state and this soft peachy pink in its warm state and has this really beautiful soft shimmer to it. I really wish I would have been able to capture the gradient, but I promise you it is gorgeous and if you want a better look at it, I would recommend checking out the product photo. 

To start this mani, I applied two coats of 56989-13* to all of my nails, curing for 60 seconds between coats. 

I was really, really drawn to the lock and key images on this plate and I knew that I wanted to put together a mani that featured them. It's just such a cute vibe, I think. For my outer nails, I kept it super simple by applying this swirly image in grey stamping polish. For my middle finger, I decided to first apply a solid heart image in a cool toned pink and then follow with the single key image in grey. And finally, for my ring finger, I started with the same heart image and then followed with the full cover heart and keys image in grey.

Once I was happy with my stamping, I finished with a matte gel top coat to bring down the shine and I cured that for 60 seconds. And voila!

I've gotta say, I'm not normally much of a pink kind of a girl when it comes to my nails, but there's something about this time of year that just makes me 100% lean into it, and I just absolutely love this base polish. There's something really pretty and delicate about it.
