I've not made it a secret here on the blog that the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette is probably my favorite of all time. Between the colour selection, which at the time it was released was entirely unique on top of being really versatile, and a shadow formula that blows most other brands out of the water in my opinion, it's continued to be a go to for me. Since then, however, I've resisting picking up any more ABH palettes. It might be because they didn't sing to me the way the Modern Renaissance did or perhaps because of bad reviews (like Subculture, which had an incredible colour story and, by most accounts, an atrocious formula). However, I was drawn to the Anastasia Beverly Hills Norvina palette as soon as I saw it and I just couldn't resist picking it up.

Once upon a time, it was the URBAN DECAY NAKED palette and its sequels. Then came the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette and its sequels. It seems like there's always a new absolute must have palette that people fall absolutely in love with. Across the board, the reviews are positive and everyone is obsessed. I feel like in 2016 there's really only one palette that has that distinction and that's the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette. I mean... Obviously. I feel like overwhelmingly this is going to be showing up on a lot of Best Products Of 2016 lists this year, don't you? I missed the first run and spent at least a couple of months regretting it as I stalked Sephora to check if it was back in stock yet. One morning, while home sick from work, I randomly checked for it on the mobile site while curled up in bed... and it was BACK. So I ordered it like there was a fire under my ass and shifted my focus to stalking my Canada Post app for its arrival. I swear, when it comes to makeup I really want, I basically turn into a tiger stalking my prey.

Anyway... That's clearly a lot of anticipation for this palette to hold up to... Keep reading to find out if it did for me!

As I was photographing this month's empties, I really felt like I was light on things that I had used up, but I assumed that I just hadn't put enough effort in this month to really tearing through any specific products. Of course, then I was cleaning up my makeup room last night and discovered 2 bags of empties that had somehow gotten put in the wrong place - one from this month and one from... I'm not actually sure. SO while this month is a little light, look for a pretty epic empties post coming next month of all kinds of products that have been waiting to be featured in an empties post!
There's kind of a weird selection of products this month with a few ride or die favorites of mine, so keep reading for a look at (some of) what I got through this month as well as mini reviews!

So, if you've ever read any post on this blog about brows, you've heard me talk about the Anastasia Brow Wiz. And really, this is one of those products that, if you spend any time meandering through the online beauty, you'll have heard about from countless other people. That's because it. is. great. It is also spendy, which may be why I don't use it every single day. I have a tendency to keep my spendier products for special occasions or, let's be honest, days when I look a hot mess and I need something really great to pick me up. However, this is my second repurchase of this product, because even at nearly $30 at Sephora, I feel like it's worth every single penny. I'm pretty sure I will continue to sing the praises of this brow pencil for quite some time, unless another company comes up with a product that can rival this one at a lower prince.

Keep reading for a closer look and more of why I'm obsessed with this eyebrow pencil.

Some months my favorites are a little harder to choose than others, but this month was an absolute no brainer for me and I hardly even had to think about it. This month was definitely the latter. In fact, this really required no thought at all. For me, fall beauty comes much more easily than any other season and I end up feeling a bit like it's a no brainer. This month my favorites consist of a few products that are new finds combined with some old favorites that just jump out at me for fall looks. Also, I have a couple of non-beauty favorites that I'm just over the moon excited about.

Keep reading to take a closer look!
